I think that, if it's ok for one of the best coaches in the county to question his team's effort (Roy Williams), it's fine for the Cyclone fans to wonder what kind of effort our vastly underachieving team is putting forth.
This is not a fan/CF problem - the issues lie within the ISU MBB program.
Roy Williams has a lot better idea of how his own guys are acting and what they're capable of than the casual observer does. The difference between Roy and any of us is a million dollar paycheck for knowing what he's talking about.

Do you think this team has given it's all this season ON the court during games Angie?
I'm talking about effort on the court...not whether or not losing upsets them...I have no doubt that they hate losing.
Moments of effort or individual efforts do not equate to a team effort. This is a "team" of individuals.
Appearances are often reality too - and I firmly believe that's the case with this program. I think it's clear to anyone that watches these games - our team does not give their best effort - certainly not the same effort our opponent exerts.
It's very obvious this team does not have a yearning desire to succeed on every possession - which is something quality teams posses. I don't think it's premeditated at all, they just don't have the fire. And this goes all the way back to before the wheels came off this wagon.
Or maybe they're working with a different level of talent and fatigue than our opponent? Anyone can "believe" whatever they want - unless you are in the locker room or at practices, we don't "know."
I think the kids played hard, but the recurring theme of players going off on us is...I don't have the word in my vocabulary. Higgins scoring 33 points is the FIFTH, that's right FIFTH, player we have let put 30+ on the board this year. That **** can't happen.
And, again, nobody here knows. These guys are playing tons and tons of minutes due to a lack of depth - what appears to you to be a lack of effort may be extreme fatigue. A guy who Crazygreg railed on has played through an illness that could potentially be life-threatening in body-to-body contact. I'd say that's effort.
