A coach's job is to teach, show, and get the most out of his players he can and make them improve while winning games. End of story.
If you give Craig **** for not being able to do this and that, why don't you blame the coaching staff too that's had him for 3 years? If they were so good at coaching, a lot of the questionable shots Craig takes might not happen and he might be a better shooter? Maybe? He might get to the free throw line more, learn how to play HIS POSITION CORRECTLY, etc.

Depends on how important the perception of resigning vs. being fired is to Greg. If he is fired, he walks away with $2.5M. If he "resigns," then it's because they have negotiated the buyout down. I think if I was McDermott, at this point I'd rather be fired and take the money. It's not like it is some secret that he wouldn't be ****-canned if he didn't resign.

this is definitely on Pollard too, especially the extension. I have and continue to be a Pollard supporter but it is waning. He needs to right this ship fast.
He's recruited plenty of talent...losing much of that talent is NOT all his fault. Look, I understand any opinion beyond FIRE GMAC TONIGHT will be ridiculed on here but seriously. Just admit the man is a good coach who gets his kids to play hard but has just had some terrible freaking luck. You want him gone, great but stop acting like every single thing that's gone wrong is 100% Greg's fault.
You make a good point, but I still like JP. This hire (GM) is the only one that I really fault him for. Chizik looks bad in retrospect, but at the time everyone thought that was a homerun. I never felt that GM was a good fit at ISU. PR seems to have turned out ok. I am willing to give JP one more chance to get it right in BB.
what are you basing your claim that he is a "good coach" on? his record at UNI? i would argue that that was his assistant with the goods. good coaches win.
