We probably picked up the toughest 7 seed. Creighton, Ill., and SDSU wold have beeen easier matchups, IMO.

For those talking about the shamrock shake uniforms, ND is the lower seed so they will be wearing the whites. Those still have neon green, but they don't blind you.

Yeah but out of all number 1 seeds and number 2 seeds, OSU is probably the best we could have hoped for

Notre Dame is good, but we can win this game.

We have one common opponent by the way...BYU. ND won 78-68 and we won 83-62. Doesn't mean anything, but a fun fact. ND played them on a neutral court and we played them at home.

I guarantee you most people will pick ND in this game, just like last year and UConn. Hope we have another great game like last year..

You forgot about Cincinnati, which they beat, and we lost to. But again, transitive property doesn't work well in sports.

I am prepared to talk mass **** to the suffocating amount of Buckeyes and Domers in Cincinnati.

I agree. Especially playing ND in Dayton, OH. But hey, that will make the win taste that much better.

I love love this matchup!! Notre Dame doesn't have a lot of quality wins. Average in Big East. OSU only scores 45-50 points a game. Big 10 is a joke. TCU would of had 10+ conference wins if they were in the Big 10. They have no idea what's going to hit them. They have no idea that we have 5 shooters on the court at all times (minus Bubu and Booker). Get excited guys, we are in the easiest bracket. Get by Notre Dame and OSU and it's smooth walking where we might get another shot at KSU. Gonzaga is a joke. Got to love this draw and bracket.

With all due respect, you're on crack. #8 Kentucky (with Noel), #12 Marquette, #20 Pitt, #11 Louisville, #21 Cincy (twice). They look pretty tough to me, although I think it's a winnable game.

Hah, oh yeah. Duh. And right, it doesn't work well in sports. It's all about matchups... If we played Cincy again, I guarantee you we'd win that game. That was at the beginning of the season and also when Lucious couldn't take care of the ball and tried to do too much.

Anyway though, I need to do some HW on Notre Dame. Seen em play this year, know they're decent, but have no idea about what kind of sets they run on both ends of the floor. If it's true what I heard though, and they let their opponents shoot a lot of jumpers, then we should be good as long as we play some D and don't go cold.

Uhh, based on what? Name recognition? We have really fared great against talented post players this year. I'd just love to go up against Doug McD. :jimlad:

Craft and Thomas are really the only main guys OSU has. No idea who ISU would put on Thomas if they got to that game.

Lucious vs Craft scares the **** out of me. Lucious would get owned offensively.

i have to agree, we have no one on the roster that can stand in front of Craft, at least not from what ive seen all year. regardless nd first.

Iowa State (18). The Cyclones are one of the most dangerous 3-point shooting teams in the nation. If they get hot from the perimeter, they should take out anyone. Of course, they also can take themselves out quickly with their casual defense, but they will be a dangerous draw.

My older brother, who is a Notre Dame Alumni, already hates this match-up... Said ISU's play will crush the Irish. I agree. It's my youngest brother and I (ISU ALUMS) vs. old brother. GO CYCLONES!

Congrats to the team and our Mayor, for taking us to the postseason two years in a row. I hope we make every dance in CFH era.

I am picking the cyclones to beat ND, I saw a ****** off Mayor at the semifinals and he is going to have this team ready. OSU is another story, the only way we beat them in their house is everything goes right for us and they have a bad day.
