Wonder what starter or major contributor gets a DNP next. We’ve had Jackson and TE. We know it will not be Gabe or Grill. Better watch out Big George, you might be the next victim of TJs wild flailing.
I think this is the big changes TJ was talking about. DNPs to light a fire after watching a game from the bench. So far, hasn't paid off.

This loss is on the coaching staff. Total abomination of a second half (and OT) against a team that isn’t more talented than us and we had a 15 point lead early in the second half.

We all love TJ, but he’s getting schooled in conference play. Other than change due to realignment, coaching in the conference isn’t changing anytime soon.

Time to deal with it. This is a bad basketball team right now. Fools gold start. Full compliment of 300 type teams, bad Memphis, Iowa team that can’t beat anybody with a pulse, injured Xavier, etc. Mature players that played hard to start and overwhelmed young teams.

Everybody would’ve signed up for this number of wins, but this has been a monumental, epic collapse that has pretty much sucked all optimism out of next year.

This is a bad basketball team that appears to have no plan outside of outwork everybody, have Brockington make ridiculous shots.
"BAD basketball team & Monumental Epic COLLAPSE"....I AGREE

That's about the end of our tournament hopes, this game was need-to-win territory for that. They'll still make the NIT and you could say that's a success overall.

This group is regularly being out-coached and outplayed. Another game of no meaningful halftime adjustments, followed by a massive dropoff in second half performance.

A few players with huge numbers of minutes contributed very little to the scoreboard. Fouling/passing was worse as the game went on. The team remains very limited offensively with generally poor post presence and a few guards we won't do much as dribble the ball, it's easy to pick off our passes when you know exactly when they're coming.

On to the next one and try to steal a couple more, but it's definitely not looking promising. We're gonna be that 10th-voted team after all at this rate.

you realize that the other team makes adjustments too and we are probably an easy team to figure out because we have no inside game and no really consistent shooters.

anyone asking for a coaching change you need to calm down. We were 2-20 last year and played ugly basketball with no defense

I don't see too big a drop off from Jackson to Grill. And both Jackson and Walker are at least not afraid to dribble the ball and facilitate offense some. I don't think either one of them have shot us into a loss yet either. I like Grill, I just think he got way too much run today when he really wasn't doing anything well
Grill was ZERO FOR NINE...from three point range...

Lipsey is 8 of 37 (21%) from 3 this year.
I'm excited for all three signeees in a vacuum. But two guards who's main weaknesses are shooting at this point feels like some of the same offense in the future. TJ absolutely has to be willing to let go of the defense-first thing a bit and get some guys in the portal who can put the ball in the basket.

Again, we have no idea because there was only ever one candidate.

So in the internet world where we know if someone went to Target nobody ever heard of anyone from other schools contacting Jamie at some point?

East of Neptune, IA.
The 'adjustment' thing is a tad overblown. Lazy pass TOs and 0/10 (or whatever it was) from Grill were the difference.
With no inside game, it was shocking how wide open K-State was from deep.

Are people really questioning the coaching? A guy came in and turned the whole thing around? That’s ridiculous. He hasn’t even had one year to recruit and get his guys. We have a whole new team this season and we still are having a good season. Yeah it’s been shakey lately but TJ is not the problem. Kids not making plays is the problem. Kids who can’t shoot a basketball when that is the whole point of basketball
It’s a whole new team full of veteran guys that have played a ton of power conference minutes and a star recruit that committed under the last guy, that happens to be in the midst of an epic collapse.

I’m seeing the same kind of inability to self-reflect from game to game and work on issues that Prohm’s staff exhibited. It’s very concerning.

Who gives a sh*t if our coach really wants to be here if he can’t coach up a team. Coaching skill shines in obvious ways such as success coming out of timeouts, runs coming out of halftime, mid-game adjustments. This staff doesn’t have any obvious strength in any of these similar to Prohm. Same stupid mistakes over and over again, no pressure being put on the rim even with proven success from doing it against Okie St/WVU. It doesn’t appear that the staff positively impacts winning basketball.

Even if a team is losing games, it can still show that there’s progress being made. This team continues to get worse. That’s coaching.

We just got worked by a talent-deficient Bruce Weber team in Ames. F*cking puke.

really? Coaching doesn’t have anything to do with turnovers and inability hit wide open shots and layups

.500ish on the season overall would have been super acceptable pre-season and that will happen.

The additions to that would have been ISU ascending throughout the year and knocking off more teams in Hilton. Those two things haven't really happened.

Sometimes that plateau happens. Today's game sucks though.
