ISU didn't take care of the basketball tonight and their passing was just a little bit off, but they made up for it with great rebounding and making free throws in crunch time.

I'll take it knowing these guys can play better, and probably will.

There were some nervous moments, but we answered every run. In previous years, we had to play nearly perfect to win. Now we have a decent defense to help us out when we go haywire on offense. Monte wasn't in top form and had 19, 8 and 8. We're a really good team, and I expect us to look it against Purdue. It seems like we play better against teams with more traditional styles. Nevada was not that. I expect us to get plenty of clean looks. Just have to knock them down.

Monte with a 2-1 ATO ratio. Geez, what a slacker. Hope Prohm has him running stairs right now.

He's good offensively. Not great on defense because he gets gassed quickly.

Just read a stat Haas has only averaged 19.9 min per game. He does get a lot of blocks and can get to the line. Their two big guys will clog up the lane.

Good win. Like all the rest Monte got. Of course, 3 early fouls had a lot to do with that. But, the bench was outstanding tonight.

Looking forward to step 2 on Saturday. If we run like we did tonight and protect the basketball like we did in the first half, we win Saturday.

Occasionally, but it seems like they mostly run a 3 guard lineup, and it's either Edwards + Swanigan, or Edwards+Haas. I don't think Haas + Swanigan is a very good lineup for them.

After watching both games I feel like Nevada would have likely beaten Purdue today. Purdue struggled to put away a less talented/athletic Vermont squad, and they really wilted shooting free throws down the stretch.

Took a brief look at their stats; Swanigan of course gets 32+ mins, but Haas only gets 19.9, but still averages almost 13 ppg.

They have 4-guys who hit > 40% from trey, including Swanigan, which surprised me; no wonder he's high first rounder.
