No, but all the things they had going are gone, Des Moines, 3 seed, Big 12 title. Meanwhile in Lawrence, worst KU team in 20 years, still havent lost a home game in conference, let alone two home games.
Yeah, and all of them are going to be tough. The only automatic win is the Oklahoma home game, they could easily lose the rest of their road games.
Big 12 title is far from gone. Difficult - yes, but we are very much in it especially if Baylor and/or Texas beat KSU over the next few days. If we beat KSU, 13-5 will win the conference.
I agree that DSM is likely gone; however, we could still get a 4 seed and be in the Midwest bracket. At worst, that loss drops us a full seed line, but there is still a lot of basketball left.
Now, if we keep playing like today you are spot on, but it is just as ridiculous to think that as it is to say we will win the conference. Not every thought has to be on the extremes.
Same could be said for every other team in the conference.
As bad as the offense was, all they had to do was have enough pride and desire to play defense in the 2nd half and they probably win and avoid an embarrassing home loss, pissing away a chance at conference title, and good tournament seed.
No enjoyment. Frustration.
