I have a an friend that is a big Iowa fan. I don't discuss sports with her because I know I am a poor sport and I hope they lose every week. She, on the other hand, claims to cheer for Iowa State 'except when they are playing Iowa' but makes snide Iowa State comments all of the time. Last night she posted about how great their 17-12 win against ******* Northwestern was and then said that she noticed that another team wore their colors last night.

Must have watched the Missouri beatdown by Georgia.

Some of my favorites, good and bad.

Funny how certain trolls leave the thread when we start pulling away. Wish the site gave a **** about a good game day thread.
Some are definitely trolls, but I legitimately can't imagine being as negative of a fan as a lot of the posters in gameday threads are. What is the point of being a fan if that's how you watch a game?

You know what’s pretty ******* great? Every player that came back is disappointed about the 3 losses. They wanted more. But they came out tonight and played their asses off. They aren’t giving up. It would be easy for guys like Charlie and mike and breece and will to say **** it, I’m done. But they haven’t. They want the championship game. And I’d bet that if that doesn’t happen, they’ll still fight for every game. That’s culture. That’s a legacy. That’s something we should all be proud of.

And the opposite of that attitude and pride? Texas. They’ve gotten punched in the nose for 4 straight weeks and according to some geniuses on here were facing a team that was never going to be good on defense again. But they didn’t keep fighting.

I think Texas gave up about two games ago.

We got everyone's super bowl till last night. Iowa's official superbowl was PSU, our official superbowl was OSU which is why we could have really used a bye week and Rus not to be injured before and against WVU. But folks, we still have a superbowl in us, and that is hard to do this time of the year but CMC is building for the long haul of a season and we appear to not only be in decent shape health wise but we are playing a ton of depth on defense.

It’s pretty remarkable that you can have a player as great as Robinson as your running back and still be 4-5.
I honestly felt bad when I saw them put him back in.

I knew what was going to happen to him, would, indeed, happen.

Game was already over at that point, and ISU was still hitting. Hard.

Good player, nothing wrong with being second best in the conference.

Rus is going to be a really really good player. He already is but next year it’s gonna be really important for teams to know where he is.

Yeah, I was really confused when they put him back in - he’d gone to the tent and was clearly hurting, the game was over, what on earth are you doing, trying to REALLY hurt the kid?

Yeah, either terrible mismanagement or him just demanding to go back in. I don’t know any other reason for it. I’m guessing the former, because the second time he went out he looked pretty upset that he was out there.

Is he a true sophomore? I’d imagine he’s leaving town as soon as he can.

Thankfully ISU has a capable team and the coaches (CMC, Heacock, Manning) have patience to stay the course and let things play out before totally panicking somewhere in the 2nd qtr.

Ed Harris had a quote in the movie that held so true when I played and coached that hold true with my love of the Clones. "I love chasing a win on Friday night and Saturday morning after you got one".

Best thing to do with Hawkeye fans is ignore them and be humble. Yes I am an anti fan of Iowa and Nebraska and Indiana, I root against them but rigged the game in my head so Im only happy if they lose and apathetic if they win. Before their Purdue game I was just gloating at a Hawkeye friend how great their defense was and about what an awesome year they had and BOOM! Anecdotal yes, but it worked for me.
