The fact that special teams has been our Achilles' Heel as long and as impactfully as it has been is an unforgivable crime.
Honestly a nice play by Mevis. That could have been much worse.
That was ******* trash punt blocking. We have to have worst coached ST in the country.
Well, there are three to four answers IMO for most coaches here.
1) Get the ball to your best player ( Breece, although there are more creative ways to get him the ball than how we do it in a two minute situation)
2) Trust. Manning calls plays based on his level of trust ( which is a horrific and terrifying thought considering how long many of these players have been here)
3) We have zero faith in our offense and are just trying to basically play Iowa style and make it ugly and hope the defense can save us late
4) He has no idea what he's doing.
I'm not sure if I believe it's any of those four more than the other but I do think it may be some kind of a combination of at least a couple of them if not all
Kinda hard on the punter when a man comes thru 100% unblocked.
This team aside from Okie State really is 2019 ISU.
