After reading this entire thread, I feel like I'm the only one who saw this coming.

We're not good. We weren't supposed to be good.

Excited for basketball season.

I wasn't expecting our team to be gangbusters this year, but I don't think it's too much to ask to beat a UNI team that went 5-6 last season when our coaching regime is in their 5th year.

How in the hell do we get MAN HANDLED in the trenches by UNI and TULSA? What ever the philosophy in the weight room is it needs to be rethought. Cause it sure as heck isn't working.

Yeah, I'm starting to really doubt all the hype about Yancy at this point. Not all his fault of course, but getting physically manhandled by guys smaller than you is very worrisome at best. Maybe we need to get off the treadmills and starting pushing more weight around?

So, I set aside all my expectations midway through the 2nd quarter. At the end of the day I want this team to improve and gain experience for next year, hopefully plucking a few wins out here and there. O line has to get better and I want to see Sam develop into the qb I think he can be, especially since we should have some weapons next year. Mess was most likely a mistake (one that could cost is a hell of a position coach at the end of the day), but the reality is that Tom Herman didn't do any better here and seems to be doing just fine at his other jobs. The offensive struggles may be a CPR/talent issue, not an of issue. I still love CPR, but we need to fix the offense NOW. It starts with the o-line. At least Danny Mac always put a good line on the field. It's been years since we've had a good oline here...

Wisconsin fired their OL coach last year after nearly losing to UNI.

What options do we have after getting manhandled by UNI?

Apparently, the laundry is what we had to look forward to. That's the strongest part of the team.

The strongest part of the team is obviously the field crew. I don't see the laundry crew being nationally recognized. Although I may not have heard if they did.

Yeah, but did you think we were that bad?

FCS team, home game, no front seven first half production, no points last 20 minutes when you needed them, little enthusiasm coming on the field, lousy neulion delivery, injury to TomF, qb outrushing rest of backs combined, 440 yards offense and only two TDs, and two missed fieldgoals with no wind problem.

Bright spots were Kirby, penalties, LukeK, winning the turnover game, 440 yards offense, Coleman being uncovered one time.
