Enjoy it tonight guys, cuz you're headed to Lubbock for our toughest game since the Maui trip. It's incredibly difficult to win on the road and Tech just whipped a good BYU team in their own house. I'm afraid we're gonna have to play an A- or better game to come out with a win.

Jackson was pretty good against Baylor but the other two big 12 games he has really struggled. We really need him to get back to the way he was playing in the non con.
I feel like his success is going to be very matchup dependent. Fortunately we have other answers if he is struggling.

Jackson for as big as he is doesn’t go up strong or quick. Id expect continuation of training in the program will transform him by next year
I wish they would get him the ball facing the basket near the elbow/free throw line. He can make that jump shot very efficiently.

Definitely going to be a tough one. Torvik has it basically a pick (us .5 favorite)

I think we go down and get the win though. This team is just different.

No clear runaway winner for prediction contest, these all had winning margin on or close and a few had score in the right way final wise

78-58 Good Guys.

UU 65
ISU 88

86-60, Clones

It should be a playing time game where everyone gets plenty of run. I will say something like 88-57.

LFG!! Stompdown on the Utes at home, 92 - 70.

May I suggest the Mikan Drill?!

Old school.

We did it kind of modified with two basketballs.

One person doing the drill and the other person rebounding and placing the ball on the floor on the opposite block.

We would go back and forth... slide stepping….Block to block. Bending down, picking up the ball from the block and going up fast and strong.

When the coach blew the whistle, we had to do it all but with a pump fake.

Everyone on the team did them. Guards, Forwards, and Centers.

Over and over and over again!

Get to it TJ! LOL

I think this team will be ready for the challenge. We were methodical tonight. It will fun to watch them really go at a team as they sense the need to raise their play. Expecting it will happen these next couple of games.

This team has so many different ways to win games. One night’s off style is another night’s go to.

Even my Hawk friends (when talking about betting of course) we say the same thing.

This team is just different.

And I like Torvik but everytime I hear his name, I think of Tor Eckman, the holistic healer from Seinfeld.

“Thinking CUJO with a game high 24.”
From Baylor game.

Was one game off. But not going out on a limb saying Cujo gets 24.

He got 23 tonight! Superb game

Not implying Tech will not be a tough road game, but their resume is suspect.

Losses against St Joes at neutral site (97 on Ken Pom), A&M (perfectly respectable) and at home against UCF (79 on Ken Pom).

Best win before tonight in Provo was against Utah. Best non Conference win was against #110 DePaul and #125 Syracuse.

What am I missing here?

ISU was down 22-20 after a Gilbert 3 pt. On the ensuing possession there was a break in the action, TJ whistled and shouted, “Tamin!” to quickly connect with his star Jr guard.

Utah had gone on a 15-2 run to take the lead and ISU had been cold from the field for the last few minutes.

I’m no lip reader but by the non-verbals I inferred that TJ was telling his floor general to get the game tied up. Get to the lane, force the action.

A few seconds later Tamin sinks his first two of many fts of the night to tie the game. A few minutes later, Tamin is exiting the game after a 12 pt run and TJ drapes his arm around Linsey’s shoulder and shares some words with his star guard.

That’s the moment of the game to me.

Agreed. 20-3 run over 9 minutes was the difference in the game.

Thanks @Sigmapolis for providing musical entertainment tonight!!
We've got a pretty damn good team when we can play only so-so defense and not look great on offense but yet win by 23 and make more free throws than the other team shot.

Crowd wasn't rowdy but it filled in nicely and got loud a few times when needed.
