Super flat today. Nothing else to say about it. Embarrassing.

184 and 197 are the only two matches that have been worthwhile. Beard took a solid win and Gadson really loosened up as the match went on and showed what he's capable of.

Flat or just not good enough to compete at some weights?

At 149 White was a sacrificial lamb since Mayfield is hurt. And Molina was outclassed as well. But in every other match we've just been totally flat and outperformed.

Cyclones.tv announcers will get to talk a lot of our former wrestling greats this year. Matches won't be much fun. We'll all be clamoring for Gibbons to come back and coach, with his color on what he wrestler should be doing. At least those that are still watching.

Moreno wins it 7-2. ISU loses 13-22.

Moreno, Beard, and Gadson looked good. Nothing else worth mentioning.

Finch loses it 4-5. ODU wrestler just stalled out the entire third period and didn't get called on it until the end. Ref let him get away with it.

ISU leads 10-6 after 5 matches.
I don't like it any more than you do, but I disagree. That's the way the sport is called now. I would be shocked to see stalling called in that circumstance.

If we're 0-3 going into Midlands I would be totally fine with asking Gibbons or Bobby Douglas to step in as interim head coach for the rest of the season. Unless the entire team has the flu or something there is no excuse for today's performance. None.

According to the Wrestling Report Rankings, Meeks is ranked 14th without ever wrestling a college dual and his opponent was ranked 21st. Next week Meeks is going to have to wrestle second ranked Ramos from Iowa. If Meeks got two stall warnings on him today then just think of what's going to happen to him against Ramos. I just hope Meeks doesn't get hurt.

It's time to spend some money to go out and get a coach. You want someone who is involved with a top ranked wrestling program.

We have been telling you this for at least two years.

Frustrating afternoon to see so many wrestlers looked gassed and outperformed. I do not expect much with Iowa, but now we need to look out for North Dakota State. Never thought I would be saying that.

Somewhere in the U.S.
If this is considered "aggressive" wrestling by the ISU wrestlers, then this program is in some serious trouble. I doubt ISU will win a single weight against Iowa.

It's sad to see that the program has fallen so far in such a short time. I sincerely hope JP can do something to change the direction quickly. This has been too great of a progam to let it fall this far.
