I’d say Fickell/Campbell think more alike than Aranda/Campbell when it comes to leaving and stuff

I don't know much about Fickell yet, to say.

Campbell and Aranda are both great coaches, coaches you'd want to play for.

I'm sure all 3 schools are hoping they all stay, a long, long time.

I don't think Baylor will be able to score much if at all. If we play a clean special teams game we will win this by a couple touchdowns. Obviously a big if.

Baylor really struggles offensively right now, they really can't throw the ball. A lot like Iowa in sone ways. But not as bad offensively and not as good defensively.

We really should win this.
Hope so. We should have won last year too?

I think Aranda is at Baylor for a long time. I tried explaining to that Nebraska fan on here Baylor is a better job than Nebraska, but typical Husker delusion wasn't having it. Its in the heart of Texas with big donors so I can see Aranda thinking he can keep it going there.

Jesus! How many bowl games in a row have we been to?
Didn't we get to the BIGXII championship game 2 years ago?
Can we not get any ******* respect with announcers?

So the line continues to move our way. Now we are favored by 3.

Anyone have an idea what is moving the line?

What do you think is driving it to go from starting at Baylor being favored by 3 then slowly moving our direction and continuing to move?

Lots of money coming in on ISU. ISU has a pretty good track record under Campbell in these types of situations.

Has a lot to do with where I was at in life then as opposed to now I think. I certainly will try again, taking some of the things @2speedy1 and putting them into practice.

I'll try to make a long story short, but we were running late, far too late to tailgate and find decent or even half decent parking. Walked the aforementioned thirty minutes after driving around for probably that long looking for parking. Had the toddler old with us. Just not ideal conditions. Will be more prepared next time, and maybe older and wiser
I bought season tickets 4 years ago and the first couple of games my expectations for what game day should be like didn’t match my season in life. Once I chilled out and created my own new version of game day, it took all the pressure off of me. I quit worrying about having this all time great day and I just enjoyed every moment of the day. In my case I focused more on sharing the day with my family and less on things that were important to me years ago. Now game day is stress free and very enjoyable.

I hope our special teams doesn't lose this game for us again
EXACTLY!! Not encouraged by the number of serious ST miscues during the first 3 games and there being zero improvement in their performance week to week. Supposedly we now have far more talent on ST than ever AND have our first ever ST Coordinator under MC—-a seasoned guy with NFL ST experience—-so what will we see against a Baylor ST that has a history of being very salty? We know that Aranda has proven that he can get the job done. The ST which performs the best might just decide this game.

Baylor and ISU are about as close as you can get to identical teams in CFB.

Was looking over the analytics of each team so far this season and they are damn near identical. Each team has played two bad teams at home and then traveled to a raucous environment to face a solid team. Now, only difference there is that ISU won and Baylor lost in OT.

The line reflects that ISU favored by 2.5 given the home field. On a neutral site, game would be a pick'em.

In addition to the on field similarities, coaching and recent program accession is also very close to the same. Two younger, awesome coaches who are building great programs. ALSO, Baylor and ISU have the exact same jersey designs (obviously color scheme is different but still). Lol.

Fun to examine all these things and how much in common the two squads have - going to be a great game Saturday.
I think we are a clearly better team (and were last year too).

It shows how important "the margins" are and hopefully we can clean up a few things.

Baylor is bottom third in penalties per game and middle of the pack in allowed tackles for lost. Hopefully our crowd can disrupt their offense and make this a blowout.

It will be like most games this year. Our talent level is there and is no longer the issue. No more praying we win the turnover battle by 3. If we don’t step on our own dicks, we will have every opportunity to win and probably will.

I think you have made some good points here!

I'm not sure that they will be addressed or listened to. Unless...the total ad time can be the same. That is the key, ad time. And they are getting longer, not shorter.

I guess we can't complain too much because that's how they pay their contracts and make their money. Other than that, I agree with you.
Suspect ESPN+ ad times are far cheaper than (you tube) higher level/more watched games. Thus, the pitch to ESPN+ advertisers is you get more time for your money.

If we can’t get a sellout out for this one, I will be disappointed in our fanbase
There are still quite a few tickets available, which is really disappointing given the start to the season and the Iowa win. Unfortunately, that's the trend across the country though. Even ranked matchups at Florida, Washington, etc have had thousands of empty seats.

Going to continue to be harder to pull in people when the games get longer, the day gets more monopolized based on certain kickoff times, and the home experience keeps getting better. I know some die-hards that have stopped getting season tickets and started having driveway tailgates with other prior ticket-holders.

It's definitely going to be a game there, this year.

And as much as most of us all strongly dislike KU, it is actually a good thing that their football program is improving. Good for the Big 12.
Meh. I mean, you are correct, no doubt.

At the same time - I liked having a league game where I felt like we could roll a ball out there and win 48-7. Less stress is always good :)

You need to write a book. I watch on TV, and am a nervous wreck.
