Purdy has an injury we don’t know about, unless it gets banged up bad we won’t find out until the off-season. He can’t throw a deep ball for anything. He threw behind hutch today on an easy pass. He hasn’t looked good all year. I’m worried when we play Texas and Oklahoma it will be exposed more. I’d say 7/8 wins here we come.

I have a tough time finding seven at this point.

Special teams miscues cost us. Offense had nearly 500 yards and outgained Baylor by 200. Only thing they could have done better is finish drives that ended in field goals. Purdy missed some throws, but didn’t look that bad. Good to see Breece break it open. Not sure what they do about punting. It’s too bad that top rated punter flipped to CU late, we need him.

just can’t that many field goals and make that many mistakes and beat anyone with a heartbeat

Purdy threw a ball 55 yards in the air and hit his receiver perfectly in stride and he dropped it. Brock doesn’t have Bret favored arm but people act like he’s an old lady out there, lot of really good qbs have worse arms

hes not always getting a ton of help

I know he has broken all these records, but think about it, we really haven't been QB University. I think he has gone backwards!!!! missing throws, behind receivers, flying out of the pocket. Maybe Manning has made him worse. I don't know. You can disagree if you want, but if my wife says I am right, then I must be on to something!

He should not play for ISU again

I thought the same thing. Maybe he just hasn’t improved and defense have a lot more film on him lol

We have zero offensive creativity. We run up the middle on first down. Maybe run or pass on second. And then pass again on third.

Below average offensive line play doesn’t do him any favors.

But I posted in the game thread, he looks uncomfortable, jittery, and indecisive nearly every time he drops back.
OF coaching sucks. Don't expect any changes. As long as Campbell doesn't interfere, he cannot be blamed.

Only one of his WR can get open and he is usually double covered.

Our expectations of him are likely unreasonable in some ways but something is clearly not right with him.
Honestly that’s correct but my opinion is he can’t take a 3 step drop without running for his life. Totally shocked by this terrible offensive line play

All season the DE's he's faced have been setting out wide and pinching the pocket on passing downs, forcing Purdy to step up instead of scrambling outside. It has been an effective strategy for neutralizing his strengths. He hasn't developed a counter to that yet.

Shouldn’t our offensive coordinator be developing a counter? Isn’t one option blocking in a way to give him better vision on passing lanes in the pocket? He’s small but not Flutie small. I have to think all those deflections against Iowa had something to do with this.

Anyone who thinks Purdy is the problem today or for the year is an absolute freaking moron.

Purdy played well today. Purdy hasn’t been elite this year but he is doing a decent job. Special teams remains he problem.
He made lots of mistakes today. He missed a short pass to Breece that would have went for a TD. Threw behind Hutch. Thew one ball right between Kolar and Hutch. Overthrew an open receiver by several yards that would have been a TD. And then fumbled a 2 point conversion.
