I recorded a show on MSNBC last fall and we finally got around to watching it. It's called "the way I see it", and it's a documentary about Pete Souza, who was the White House official photographer for Reagan and Obama. It has some really beautiful stories from behind the scenes. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend seeking it out & watching it.

Battery in the truck finally crapped out. Since when does it take 30-45 minutes to swap batteries? Have to take this apart, move this, weird angle to get these bolts. All the while, big empty space in thr front left of the engine compartment.

Since when does it ONLY take 30-45 minutes to change a battery? ;) Making batteries as inaccessible as possible is a hallmark of cars manufactured this century.

Saw that recently. It was quite good. Recommend as a watch also.

I follow him on Instagram and it’s one of my favorite follows. He posts old photos from his time in the WH quite a bit but he also posts some great shots of nature and cities he is in. He will take pics with his iPhone as well.

Had a ford escape as a work vehicle for a while and I couldn't even find the battery on that thing. Kind of embarrassing to be in the parking lot trying to help out someone by giving them a jump start and I couldn't figure out where the hell the battery terminals were (this was after having to get out the owners manual to figure out where the damn hood release latch was). Granted, in my defense, it was my second day driving it...

I should probably figure out how to pop the hood on my 2017 being that I never have. Just in case

What a great weekend. Cyclones DOMINATE and Packers sewed up #1 seed with HFA. Only downer was the men's BB team, although they are showing some resolve. ISU wrestlers did well, too.

Went to attached leads from battery minder to Das Audi last week. It just sits so much I have to treat it like a stored or hibernated car. Pop the hood and I am all "Where's the battery?" o_O Check behind the engine between the wipers where they had inconveniently located the battery on my previous Audi. Pop a little hatch and see a smaller hatch with a big red + on it. Getting close I think so pop the smaller tap over. And it is just a positive post. No battery. Give in and get manual out. What I had found was a jumper post, also had a matching negative one over by fender. And battery is in the trunk. Under a cover that's under the tire that's under the trunk floor hatch that's under my WeatherTech trunk liner.

Also looked up new battery stuff and apparently Das Audi has some sort of "smart" electrical system that adjusts to old batteries. If you just drop a new battery in the car brain still thinks it is old will not charge it fully. Needs to have something reset to tell car brain it's a new battery and it take a full ass charging. Of course, not something you can just reset yourself like the smarty pants tire pressure thingie.

Ahem. WBB did fairly well against Texas, too. It was on a real channel - ESPN2. Like the men, they couldn't quite get it together for a whole game. I see promise in both teams.

I remember trying to jump someone with my GMC Terrain. The battery had a red terminal and a separate negative post in the frame. Took a while to figure that out in the dark.

Just had an ad play on my phone for anf. Wtf google, why are you trolling me. It was followed by a kohl's bra ad. That one was a lot better but I am no where close to the target audience.

Did slow photography walkabout at Teddy Wirth Park. Was walking across board walk and a big hawk dived into the snow bank about 50 feet from me. Me, fumbling with gloves and locked lens missed the shot with the hawk taking off again too quickly for me to grab a shot. :(:(:( Was thinking some snow pics and not ready for birds.

Did get this from a gal cross country skiing "That's the greatest mustache I've ever seen!" So my day did not totally suck.

Roast beast in the oven. Smells good, not sur if it's the wine, the bay leaf or the onions. Will be such much disappoint if it comes out gnarly and tough. It's a 50/50 proposition when I cook such things.

That’s why you need to buy Iowa-grown meat.
