I thought about getting another one, or an Impala, but I wanted something higher up and that I could fit in. My head touched the roof in the Malibu if I sat up straight. Love my Explorer, lots of room, and I can fit a lot more tailgating stuff in it.Loved my 2001 Lumina. We put 200K miles on it but parts were beginning to wear out and maintenance wasn't worth the price of the car. We replaced it with a 2011 Malibu, but never really liked it as much. There's an Impala that we are going to look at today also, but we'll see. My biggest problem is the underside f the dash on the driver's side. I have to rack the seat forward to reach the pedals, but that means my knees are higher than Lew's when I'm driving. Low-slung dashboards, I tend to crack my knees a lot, which makes me cranky.
My favorite crabby old broad. <3Are you trying to say I'm a crabby old broad?

Ten years ago we would have done that. But at our age, and with the inability to fix minor problems yourself on modern cars, we tend to opt for a newer more reliable vehicle when the current one begins breaking down. It's a lot tougher for Lew to turn wrenches on new models, and the way they are designed (including all the different computerized systems), he no longer has the skills. He used to do ALL of the work on our cars, so that's a tough pill for him to swallow. We're putting 3k into fixing the kids' 12 Jetta with 95K miles on it. 2 years ago, we wouldn't have done it but now the car is worth almost twice as much as it was 2 years ago.
suck up...My favorite crabby old broad. <3
She's not so cranky. She didn't use any "f's".suck up...

UConn is independent in football and in the Big East for other sports.
No reason you couldn't just add the Zags' MBB and WBB to a major conference.
The trunk is more like room after the backseat. Z tries to leave the car via the hatch as often as she can.It has a trunk? I thought it was a hatchback...
I need to update one pickup at least. I’m treading water until I figure out how this thing goes. I am used to driving things most people would abandon. I estimate 15 cents a mile. (Although now 20 cents might be right) per mile to pay for the repair. So $1000 means around 6-7k miles to pay for the repair. We weren't ready three years ago!
We've been ready for about a year, and have been hoping supply would improve and control price a little better.
This is the second time that supply chain has bit us severely in the wallet...this, and then the addition to our home. Which, by the way, STILL isn't finished, and probably won't be until sometime in April.

Speaking of cars, I’ve been really into watching car revival videos (mainly the Vice Grip Garage channel) the guy will get a vehicle that sat for years and drive it 600 miles home sometimes.
I had a buddy shortly after college for a few years who participated in rally races with cars like this. I think the cars had to be acquired for under like 300 dollars or something and then they repaired them and did rally courses with them.
