I have been through multiple ownership changes and can't ever remember losing insurance. Is your insurance already gone or are you just hearing that it will go away once this transfer of ownership is complete?

Believe it's the second one. Ownership changed around the end of June. This ownership group is out of Eastern Iowa and not even sure who our new contact is with this new group. I said earlier this year when I got a demotion when my previous role was eliminated that it was a sign to find anything elsewhere and this is just that sign saying, remember me.

I struggle alot with change. When I got this job it was just supposed to be a stop gap job, but then I got comfortable.

That terrible, horrible, no good, kinda bad feeling that you left your windows cracked overnight, and the downpour came through this morning. Lost power BEFORE the storm, but it came back in about an hour.

EBF, Albia and Sigourney made it to the state playoffs in SB last night. Albia took out Solon at Solon, 11-2. Solon's coach left his cleats at home plate. Fairfield, Osky, Mt Pleasant, and Ottumwa try for state tonight. Ottumwa's the only one that has to travel, though, and they get to play #1 Waukee.

Ottumwa split with Mason City in baseball...they were playing at EIU's field. Feel bad, though. MC's SR catcher got hit by a fastball on his hand early in the first game. MC's coach thought the catcher broke it. The kid had all-state numbers, too.

Edit: Car windows were closed!

Hey peeps! Hopefully back for a while. Work got in the way...little stressful these past few months.

Give me a rundown if ya could on what's been happening!
CG went to the UK and France and is still pregnant.
GTO went to Iowa for a wedding and stayed up late.
Pants and Boxster have been hitting on mother/daughter combinations.
Erik went for a run across Iowa.
Cooler is trying to flee south of the border.
Lots of young kids sports updates from Myself, Velo, BC, Cooler and Birdie.
Carver went to a wedding and may have lost her shoes.
Gr8 doesn't like Anheiser-Busch IS stuff very much.
Evidently, Bode's back.
I went on a brewery tour in NE Mpls. If you're in the area, and knowing your beer tastes, I'd highly recommend 612 Brewery for you.
KC has had technology issues (probably).

PS - you forgot that Bubbles Carver possibly hooked up with tired, baby-daddy GTO. ;)

So the raccoon problem is bigger than we thought. One turned into 2, which turned into 3 last night. 2 have been coming down just about every night out of the porch ceiling. Landlord (husband) was home this weekend. They live upstairs. He cleaned out all the insulation in the attic, found coon ****, but didn't find a nest. He also patched up some holes in the roof of the porch. So last night I'm waiting for them to come down, 2 of them peek their heads out for a while, but don't come down.

Finally after about 2 hours, one comes down and takes off. There are traps set on the porch, but they always climb down the railing and never go near the traps. So I go to the door and look up and there's 2 more. I was like son of a *****. I go sit back down and wait. I see one poke its head out, then I hear a loud 'thwack'. I see it half hanging out, flailing around. I thought at first something had broke up there and it got stuck. Then I saw the arrow sticking through its neck. It finally falls and flails around for a bit before finally dying. Landlord comes up and says "I bet you weren't expecting that were you." Nope. Needed to be done though.

His wife was concerned that I was upset with what I saw. Not at all. She said it smells up there now. Nest has to be in the walls or my ceiling.

You might want to consider renting someplace that isn't going to get condemned as uninhabitable.

BTW, I have to report another Bob death in my garden. Two down and about one hundred to go. Squirrels, the ******* crockroaches of urban outdoor life.

I'd be on time with the rent check if I were you

I thought that that woman in the white, black and magenta striped dress looked pretty nice walking through the skyway and I'm pretty sure she thought the same about the tall, balding, graying man in the khakis and sky blue oxford.

No. I will not. I am happily married... stay away from me you evil temptress.

Note: I would have included pics but I think most of you have a pretty good idea what I look like.
