Sorry to offend everyone, I read the quote as things we have going for us over UNLV, and it was said winning(and not just this year but the past few). I was simply pointing out that UNLV has won more games than us the last two years and still has the advantage when adding this years results. If you would all like I can link you the SOS for the last two years (there schedule was tougher than ours).

why would a top recruit have this announcement at a rival (or unrelated) school? seems pretty obvious that's not the correct information.

I highly doubt RV is doing any type of announcement right before he plays a game. Seems like misinformation.

Your point was still valid. It's not how we as fans can spin, it's how RV perceives it. Obviously he isn't going to look into all of the things that ISU fans are when trying to justify better results.

I absolutely live the changes in emotions this thread has taken since the Vaughn announcement date was set... First we think he is ours for sure, next we think he is going to UNC because he cancelled his visit and that is the only place he actually said he "wanted to go to". Now he is going to UNLV because some cheese**** on twitter thinks he knows something...

i think this thread should be locked until the decision has been made. People's lives would be saved.

Did I say otherwise? Saying they were definitely better is also homerish, although it was their peak year of relevancy. Imo the MWC did a hell of a job getting their RPI higher than it should have been based on quality.
The MWC could have been an equal to the Pac-10/12 as a basketball conference had expansion not started at the "major" 5/6. Even then though, the exposure would have limited.

Nevermind. I was thinking he cancelled his UNC visit this weekend, but it was going to be next weekend. Just saying that maybe he has a game and that's why he cancelled.

Fred is the main reason we are a finalist. Rashad and his parents seem to have a great relationship with Fred. I like our chances. I am betting on Fred.

Sorry, must've misread your post. I agree that the RPI of the Mountain West was inflated and that even with that conference peaking they still drew less media attention than the Big 12, obviously.

I'm guessing either way it outnumbers the Gameday thread.....unless we lose.

O God. Could you imagine if RV doesn't pick Iowa St and we lose to TCU @ home?
