I wonder if they will be adding new perks (or options) at certain levels, such as C.Y. Stephens subscriptions or pre-game dinners at Scheman now that Pollard has control of those.

And re-seating, while a hot button, should definitely be considered.

Folks have been in the same spots for FOREVER. A little shakeup could drive donations up significantly

In JTS for some people that cannot be done. If a fan gave to build the stadium they get their seat for life. Now many of those people are getting older and giving them up, those that want to keep their seats get to. They tried to move these people once and lost that battle.

I understand the reason is to keep staff and facilities. I’m also not saying I wouldn’t increase (I already meet the 25% higher criteria anyway). For the general population though I think without incentive for the individual that would be challenging. JP can sell and get donations though.

On the other hand if they reseated I’d seriously consider jumping up at least a level to lock in better seats since who knows when they would do it again.

I assume that number is getting smaller but do you know how many of those there were and/or are now? Are those tickets for the original buyers only or can they be passed to family members?

Not exactly sure.

positive it is original. Know a family whose parents passed and they would use his tickets, now they buy their own set.

I don't have a huge problem with this, you want success you gotta help pay for it. However, Jamie can't have it both ways. He can't expect the typical Cyclone fan attitude of the past (and what makes ISU great). I keep thinking back to the fan who yelled out at Prohm while he was taking questions on the court.

Everyone has their price point and budget. But if my donation is raised another 25% then I am going to expect the play on the field/court to match that with consistency.

Or at least improved wait times at the Jack Trice concession stands

I'd be curious how many of those are left.
My grandfather did that when my dad was at ISU 72-76, and Grandpa would have been 91 this year.
the sad truth is that $ matters for coaches and stadium/facility improvements and some hard choices will be faced in trying to keep pace with other Power 5 schools.

Is reseating that big of an issue for JTS? I always thought this was more of a Hilton issue, where families have locked in parquet seats for a long time.

Will be interesting to see what info comes in Jan. For me to increase my giving by 25% there has to be more perks including re-seating for basketball. I have had season tickets for 25 years and while my women's tickets are not that bad there are better seats near me that get used less than 50% of the time that when I asked about them could not get an answer as to why they are not available.

edit: when I say tickets it is 6 tickets for the women plus little cyclone passes.

The letter said that reindexing occured in 2008 and 2015. From 2009 to 2015 the football team went 32-65 (.330). 2016 to present the team has gone 24-22 (.522). I think you have already enjoyed an increase in quality of your product. Time to pay for that.

Some donors have “reindexed” themselves. Those wanting RV passes learned that the $1000 donation may not get them into the lots. They will probably increase their donation and find other ways to increase their placing.

I’m sure there are G7 parking owners that will increase their donations because of closed lots due to weather.

Adding 25 percent may hurt

I don't necessary like it, but I get it. We are struggling to keep up being able to keep our bus in the RV lot. We dropped back a lot this year and without the Wells Fargo match (that they cancelled at the last minute on us) we will probably struggle to be in any RV lot next year.

That being said, we have had it good at ISU for a long time cost wise. The athletics and facilities were not necessarily very good but we got along cheap. Now the facilities have improved and the athletics for the most part are on the rise. Unfortunately we all have to pony up a bit more to pay for it.

The perk is winning more. This isn't a hard concept and it applies to football.

Looking at that chart that was posted, it seems as they are seeing a plateau and they're trying to keep that from happening in an extended period.

I don't get the outcry about a 25% increase. For a $1000 donation that's an extra $250 per year. That just doesn't seem like it should be much of a problem.

And what's with the idea that paying $250 more entitles us to more perks? The donation levels haven't changed in years but the cost of competing and operating the athletic department has risen dramatically. The only perk I could see would be re-seating Hilton based on donation level. I know I'm sitting in seats two levels below my donation level and I'm sure many others are too.

Jamie talked in depth about that plateau in his Vision presentation where the entertainment district was revealed. If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend doing soon. He is pretty upfront and frank about how ISU compares to others and the ideas they are considering. Re-indexing was mentioned then, so I knew this was coming.

I was at the West Virginia game this year, and they acknowledged the donors on the jumbo tron that are at the highest level and it was $75,000 per year! There were a lot of people and companies listed. I was surprised. Our top level is $12,500 for comparison.

We need to find away to keep up. I wonder what other schools have as the top group.

And people disagreed when I said ISU doesn't have the type of donors other programs have.
