How dare you slander the Big 10 this way over the Big 12’s obvious play to destroy college athletics!Suggested name: "Big 12 Forces UCLA and USC to Leave Pac 12, Big Ten Looks on From a Distance"
Cited health problems, not sure there’s much to it aside from the timing.USC's AD just resigned effective immediately. Seems....odd.
The article announcing mentions health issues, spending time with family. But he mentions next chapter vs. retirement. He is 62.USC's AD just resigned effective immediately. Seems....odd.
My job used to be fun, but the next 2 years is going to be legal battles I didn't sign up for... time to dip and retire. A little cowardly, but can't blame him really. The article announcing mentions health issues, spending time with family. But he mentions next chapter vs. retirement. He is 62.
It might not be a coincidence the National Labor Relations Board filed a complaint against USC, Pac12 and NCAA yesterday.
Yeah, how is that the spin in the media? The B1G just innocently fell into USC and UCLA causing no harm whatsoever. But now the B1G won't move on any other PAC 12 teams until after the Big 12 moves first, so then it's the Big 12 that broke up the PAC 12. I just can't believe how acceptable it is to lie and create false narratives anymore. Has anyone in the media stepped forward and said "Not so fast there, B1G!"???Suggested name: "Big 12 Forces UCLA and USC to Leave Pac 12, Big Ten Looks on From a Distance"

Everyone knows USC and UCLA forced their way into the B10 just like former members of the B12 (Nebraska), ACC (Maryland) and Big East (Rutgers) did. Before that, random independents were doing it (Penn St).Yeah, how is that the spin in the media? The B1G just innocently fell into USC and UCLA causing no harm whatsoever. Ha. And Danny Kanell knows what's good for college football, how exactly?Ray Anderson's (ASU AD) timeline: July-August media deal, sign GOR, expand. Huh? Before you know it, they'll move the goal post to June 30, 2024, the day before the current deal ends. In terms of the GOR, the new Pac deal will be the shortest in history. I say 4 years. On expansion, wouldn't you expand first, then sign the media deal? The Pac is in serious trouble.
Danny Kanell on Sirius radio today said "for the health of college football", he hopes the Pac breaks up in lieu of signing some low end, crappy, short media deal.

Yeah…. starting to seem like there’s more to it than just health/retirement.Questions about management and behavior, it seems.

USC athletic director Mike Bohn resigns after criticisms over management
Mike Bohn’s resignation comes a day after The Times asked him and USC about internal criticism of his management of the athletics department.www.latimes.com
Mhver (a fan favorite around here) has been saying it since early March, when everyone was talking about Gonzaga. He went dark after the Colorado AD called out a tweet as total BS. Also, funny enough Flugar is claiming the talks with Gonzaga have stalled due to issues we can't seem workout with them. As Wilmer says, "realignment Twitter is the best Twitter."Interesting to see all the Twitterati (Swaim, etc.) claim to know what's going on, did any of them have Yormark meeting with UConn?
Of course PAC fans want that lol.View attachment 113149
Seeing this being floated by PAC fans since the news about the Magnificent 7 started. It would certainly put them the #3 conference, but leaves us Pitt/Louisville and leaves us our options with Duke, Syracuse, Wake, Boston, Wazzu, OreSt, and the top Group of 5s. I'd still be very happy with our conference.
The PAC leaving out WSU and OSU seems extremely unlikely. This just seems like a pipe dream to meView attachment 113149
