Also Jaylen Johnson, a 6'9" bouncy forward (according to ESPN). He plans to visit Iowa State, Florida State and Arizona State. These are the three programs that have been recruiting him the longest.

I like 6'9", bouncy forwards

I would also really like to break into Chicago

**edit** never mind, he's from MI..... Still want though

Update on Josh Cunningham. ISU recently offered and looks to becoming a staff priority, also Fran has offered. He mentioned both programs among others in the interview.

Iowa: “I was happy, because they studied my game and they got to know me better. The coaching staff and I had a connection. We got to get to know each other a little better before they offered.”

Iowa State: “I was surprised. I wasn’t really expecting Iowa State. I had just found out they had been recruiting me for a while when they offered me.”

Maybe we need to work on our recruiting. Just imagine how well we would be doing if the athletes knew we were actually recruiting them from the beginning of the process!

That's how big-time programs do it. Let the less prestigious do the front-end leg work, then swoop in and snatch the big recruits from under their noses :jimlad: (sort of)

Have to like our chances with a top three of those schools.

Edit: Unless he likes to party

Abu and Terrell still have ISU on their radar. There will be some competition though. Also sounds like Abu would like a decision by late fall or early part of the new year.

Abu, Terrell Still Talking Recruiting Package | ZagsBlog.com

Asked which schools were recruiting both 2014 players the hardest, Abu rattled off, “Kansas, Florida, Iowa State, Providence, UConn, most of them are.”

Added Terrell, who had 6 points and 3 rebounds, “Providence, Boston College, St. John’s, Kansas State [and] Cincinnati.”

Hoping that the loss of Amardi doesn't detract other bigs from coming to ISU. Guards are great, but we are going to continue to get beat up down low if Fred can't get a body or two in there.

No one even knows who Amardi is, but I see your point that we don't want to develop a reputation for being a poor landing spot for bigs.

Hopefully 2014 and the addition of Doc Sadler can change our momentum with players taller than 6'7"

What are you talking about? This makes no sense. One of our best players next season will be a big, if anything, seeing an opening for an immediate impact would be appealing to bigs.

Idk state...Fred's had 3 years to get a big to come to Ames, and so far his success has been limited to Percy Gibson. Not exactly reeling them in at this point. Edozie can change that, but I'm not too hopeful about that one.

Niang isn't a big though. At least not by my definitions he isn't. 6'7'' and plays like a wing.

Name another wing anywhere in college that has his posts moves. I'll be waiting. He's a big who can shoot. A Euro big man.
