I haven't been in this thread for a week or so but weren't we starting to come back up in Travis' interview?
A few recruiting gurus have been tweeting/writing that Stanford is in the drivers seat for Travis and will be tough to beat, fwiw.

Are we in trouble? I hate being the pessimist, but we've missed on a lot of guys as of late. The top 3 we have remaining (hopefuls anyway) are Macura, Johnson, and Vaughn. I've never felt too great about any of them. In the worst case scenario that we do not land even one of these players, how badly does that bode for CFH and the program?
Welp, another potential '14 recruit off the board.
@BFlinnFuture150: 2014 Rise Academy (PA) wing Kyle Kuzma has committed to Utah, per Kyle.

I think Fred has shown he can pull a rabbit out of the hat on the transfer market when needed. Not worried.
Fred is swinging for the fences on HS players this year. I think he's realized that taking transfers like Clyburn, Nader, Babb et al, is a better route to go than taking HS players that may take 2-3 years before they can develop.
If we miss on all of our HS targets, that will suck, but we'll fill in with a Juco or two and then snag 1-2 transfers if that happens.
Someone on the other board posted that Juco bigs Ivan Uceda and Tyrone Haughton are visiting for the Iowa game.
Remember, that Doc Sadler has some pretty good ties to the juco market, and it will be easier for him to sell ISU than it was to get them to Lincoln a few years ago.
Read Travis Hines' article and it will provide you with the exact insight I was thinking and most of you should be thinking.
Patience... Just have patience...
Fred likes to play everyone in non conference and try combos out. He will have playing time.Article from Gopher hole about Macura, I am confused on why he would be leaning on taking an offical to ISU but not sure if he is going to visit Ames. He has already been on Campus and seen the facilities so I guess there isn't much of a need for an official still seems odd. He does mention early playing time avaliable at "Creighton and Xavier said that and Minnesota, if I work hard. It is just going to be a hard decision because I think that I can come in and play right away at all those schools." That could end up being the final factor, I think playing time at ISU would be tough early. Gopher Hole: Are you still going to visit Iowa State? J.P. Macura: I haven’t totally decided that yet. Gopher Hole: I saw a story where your dad was quoted as saying you might commit fairly soon. Is that the case? J.P. Macura: Possibly. Maybe in the next few weeks, but I still have to talk to my dad about possibly an official at Minnesota and Iowa State. Gopher Hole: You told me recently that you had five schools that you were looking at. Minnesota, Creighton, Purdue, Xavier and Iowa State. Is it still those schools or have you narrowed it down even further from that? J.P. Macura: It is the same schools right now. Gopher Hole: Do you have any other visits planned besides maybe Minnesota and Iowa State? J.P. Macura: That is pretty much it. It is kind of coming to an end. Q&A: J.P.
