And another California kid ranked above him. Herrera will have to beat him to win another title, I assume.

Not sure where Merrill had been ranked previously.

Merrill was #2 at 195 but was inactive. Came back at heavyweight this past weekend.

Went to the City vs Kennedy meet tonight. By his demeanor, Kueter will be a good fit at Iowa.

has there been any discussions toward Kaiden Antonacci? Enjoyed watching Bob Antonacci wrestle for ISU in mid-70s

JUCOs start today. Just read an article about Ellsworth 165 Mirzo Khayitov who listed ISU in a top 4/5. He is 27 years old from Uzbekistan with quite a freestyle resume. Trains with NLWC a bit. Maybe he could be a 57?

Looks like an interesting prospect. Everything appear to be 74Kg or 165, Not sure if 157 would be in the cards unless he has a redshirt available or go 174 for a year.

Not exactly sure.
Getting a kid from overseas may be one of the few times that I think grabbing a JUCO might work. Not generally seems to be a very successful route with wrestling.

News to me - Hunter Dejong now wrestles for Morningside and is 2-0 at hwt at NAIA nationals. He will face #1 Hagen from GV next round in the quarters. Jace Luchau, a Cali kid ISU was recruiting at one point, is the 10 seed in the quarters facing 2 Gonzalez from GV tonight as well

I don't necessarily disagree but Tony Davis might.
