I thought it was kind of inconsistent--there were definitely a few times where I felt there was contact not called on our offensive end that was called on the other end (and Colorado fans probably could point to similar plays the other way). Then I got really annoyed on a couple of MM blocking fouls where he simply moved his feet well and got to the spot before the offensive player.
Honestly, I feel like it isn't as true as it used to be that Iowa State benefits from referees who "let them play." Early in Otz's tenure, it was pretty much guaranteed that anyone going into the lane would have ISU defenders' hands all over them. But I think that this group is much more polished. The guards especially can move more quickly laterally to stay in front of their man without putting both hands on them, plus they have quicker hands when they do reach, meaning they get ball rather than arm a higher percentage of the time.
