Yeah, we need an explanation here. If these guys got busted and it's legit, I see no reason why they're reinstated and possibly even playing. I realize you have to let the legal system do its thing, but there needs to be an official statement on this today.

I agree! Paul Rhoades should be held accountable the the Cyclone Fanatic Faithfull. He needs to know that it is OUR opinion that matters - no the Universities, Not the Police, but Cyclone Fanatic.

Please let me know when he will be dragged into the Coroporate Office and Flaugged!

Lighten up until the facts come out. In fact, besides Keith Murphy has anything official been posted??????????????

Jeesh - talk about "lightening up".

Nobody is sharpening pitchforks. No one has lit the torches.

It's being discussed. Not sure a few of you have come to this conclusion yet - but here's a little insight....... that's what message boards are for!

BTW - our opinion sure as hell better matter. As fans, investors, share holders in Cyclone sports and the people who ultimately pay CPR, GMac's and JP's salary - it damn well better matter. Pretty sure I've got a letter or two from JP that has said as much.

The torches were lit by some quite a few days ago, they've probably just burned out.

Re: Suspensions over?

Can we get a confirmation if it was pot or seeds? That is the difference between HAVING marijuana in your possession and someone rolling a joint in your apartment.

If it was seeds and they tested clean then let them off the hook. But if they found a baggy then 1-3 games is suffice.

Isn't possession of illegal drugs a crime? I really don't know, but I thought possession was?

I don't recall Keith Murphy reporting anything inaccurate ever. In my opinion he and Andy are the best sports reporters in the state. I don't but the WHO could be wrong theory, they're far to responsible to report a rumor without confirming it with a legit source.

The question is what is the rest the story, if there isn't anything more than what we know and CPR just brought them back he just lost all the respect I have for him.

Unless the original article on this is inaccurate how could they not be guilty at least in the eye's of their coach? One admitted to the jar with pot residue being his...that if anything should be a red flag to CPR that one of his players is smoking weed.

i think everyone needs to cool it and wait and see what really happens.. stop jumping to conclusions and let cpr do what he feels is right.. i have nothing but confidence that what he decides was the right call

I must say I'm very proud to be a Cyclone today. Not because of the athletes and coaches. But with how fans on this board are refusing to give in to the 'other programs do it' mentality and are wanting more information before accepting a reinstatement. This proves that character does matter in this program and we hold our athletic department to higher standards than other schools.

A great day to be a Cyclone fan.

OMG the jar could be a keep sake or something of a collection from past usage. The fact is they were supposed to be seen smoking the weed and they have been tested along with other players and they ****** clean.

Yaaa Im pretty sure its getting dropped for a reason... They were "seen smoking pot by a dumpster"... "a small amount of something" was found in there apartment... Sounds like a bunch of uneducated gossip getting blown out of proportion. I trust CPR will make the right decision. Also like someone said earlier just because they are reinstated doesnt mean theyll play. Since the suspensions are being dropped Im assuming that somehow they proved that the story and charges were bogus.

If the charges were dropped I would think the university has to re-instate them or be in violation of their own policy, opening them up to a lawsuit. Doesn't mean they will be playing on Saturday, but I doubt they could leave them suspended when they have no charges against them.

And the highlighted is all I'm really after. (there hasn't been enough time - it's understandable we don't have it yet).

I'm sorry to make another comparision to iowa, but I will not be happy with the Area 51, cloak and dagger secrecy that prevails over there.

I just hope that CPR lays out the situation.

Dropping the charges would be public knowledge - and I've not heard of any announcement from the Story County attorney's office that charges have been dropped...
