I’d love to be wrong but I don’t think Jamie is out there playing 4D chess. Literally everyone was caught off guard by this.
I think caught off guard in the sense that he didn't know it was going to happen right now, but I would be shocked if he didn't have a break glass in case of emergency plan ready to go for just this situation. I mean, it's not like it takes all that much to figure out what needs to be done. Option 1, call B1G. Option 2, call PAC-12. Anything after that is doomsday essentially.

Yeah it would be like us hitting the nitrous and blowing by their ****** yellow IROC that hasn't been serviced in 10 years.
He's already knocked off the two biggest names in the business. Turn him loose on the top dogs in the BIG. I'm sure that MI and OSU are now watching how things unfold.

I was pleasantly surprised when I was living on the East Coast for the last 5 years at how many Iowa State people I happened upon.

Small side note. I was at a Publix in Fort Lauderdale maybe 2 years ago. Walking to my car I'm wearing an Iowa State hat and the guy says 'Hey go Hawkeyes'. I gave him the 'I will eat your face in public' look and he immediately apologized and said he actually likes Iowa State better he was just messing with me.
I live in New England. Every time in the Boston airport I see someone wearing something with ISU on it. When I say "Go Cyclones" it's as if they were expecting to be recognized. No more deer in the headlights stare when they hear Cyclones.

Most important point in that article:

And from my conversations, Iowa is not going to pull a Texas A&M and try to prevent Iowa State from joining the Big Ten Conference over petty political nonsense.

Still hard to join the Big 10 in and of itself, but no opposition from Iowa City should help.
After what we've been through this wouldn't be hard at all and I'd quit waking up with night sweats.

Actually, TWO points. It still implies A&M will do all it can to prevent TX from the SEC. Interestingly, I remember specifically when the B12 was formed. Many SWC people despised TX mightier than thou attitude. Well SEC, hope you're a darned good baby sitter.

When I worked in Cape Town this patient we had has an ISU sweatshirt from about 1985. Weirdest thing I ever saw.

Not exactly sure.
The ISU thing would be to gain a big ten invite and have AM lead a charge that keeps UT and OU out of the SEC, so we have to pay to get out. It would still be worth it.
