Damn.....Bowlsby has grown a pair it appears. I love it.
I still don’t completely buy he was totally blindsided and didn’t know anything.Yep me too, but I'm sure he is pretty pissed off. I'm sure he doesn't like being called an idiot for being blindsided by this.
Maybe KU doesn't want to go to the ACC? It's a double (triple?) cross to get to the big 10.Why would WVU or KU say something? If it's ACC obviously both would stand to benefit by joining. Someone didn't want this to happen and reported it to the Big 12. Makes me wonder...obviously could be a lower tier person in those universities but I don't know.
And if one of the schools did immediately report, it also indicates that the schools are unified.Because the bylaws require you to inform the other members within 12 hours and they don't want to be caught up in a lawsuit like Texas and OU will be over the same thing?
If there is proof of all this, The Big 12 will have no trouble getting lawyers on board working for a portion of the settlement, because the potential payout could be huge...it could dwarf the GOR buyout.LOT of billable hours are coming.
McMurphy doesn't like ESPN at all since he was laid off by them but though this was pretty good:
Psssst……linking an espn article will probably give them clicks.
Kansas has to notify its regents before engaging in realignment talk. I’d bet that they did so with ESPN trying to connect them and WVU to the ACC and the news got to someone affiliated with K-State, who told Bowlsby immediately.
the fact that the Big 12 sent this only to ESPN, and not ESPN and FOX, probably means this is about the ACC and not the B1G or Pac-12.
