You are a founding member of TJisUs. Congrats.

I see he's been announced. Hope it works. Go TJ!
TJ was my favorite choice, but I never said he was without flaws which was your point. TJ had flaws and so did every candidate. I would have been happy with any of the 5 I listed. DeVries we saw wasn't interested. Smith I kind of get the impression was at best interested, but not committal. I've been appeased that Pollard did some due diligence.

I had multiple people I'd be really happy with and only one I'd be unhappy with.

I'm on board and excited about seeing what staff and recruits he can bring here. The first time he calls a timeout after a made 3 though, I'm jumping ship

i was a little confused

jp said it started weeks ago

but then said they interviewed/talked to people tuesday morning.
Sounds like both. Reviewing candidates resumes weeks ago, talking to referrals, investigating financial options, etc. There's so much more to do than just starting the conversations. If there's anything the debates seemed to confirm, it's that there are few 'incredible' candidates which aren't over the hill or want to leave their current situation.
I'm fine with this hire and am anxious to see what transpires.

Not real wild about the hire but oh well I didn't have any other big preferences either. I'll hope for the best as always and support the team. Go Clones!

I kind of don't believe that....
Their AD is from the Jamie tree, so perhaps it’s the type of extension in which you fire them two years later for 0-18. Or the like the extension we were going to give to McD prior to Creighton doing God’s work. Or perhaps just another JP distorted truth for his disciples to show off their lack of gag reflexes.

I gotta admit, I am getting a huge amount of comedic enjoyment from your posts. It reminds me of those "kids crying over nothing" Facebook videos. They are funny too.

That's fairly average at UNLV, right?
Looking at average rating on 247, it is their highest class ever since 2004(as far back as they go). They have had high ranked classes. But average rating is .8510 and next years class is .9503.

When he loses in a National Championship, then you can compare him to Johnny Orr!:rolleyes:

Johnny Orr’s National Runner Up was at Michigan.
Chizik won a National Championshi. At Auburn.
Johnny Majors won a National Championship. At Pitt.

Yeah, he apparently wants to make sure nobody has any doubts about how much he thinks JP sucks - we get it. I guess keep beating that horse if that's what gets you off..

If he does come back and plays great here it will be a TJ recruit, if bad it will be a SP recruit. Never understood the SP haters from day 1.
I could tell after Monte and those guys left that he was lost during the 2017-2018 season, but it was hard to tell at first with all those great players. Prohm had his moments though, but it just got way ugly.

Doesn’t seem that way. But I hope so, it would be the least I can do in return for your work.

You disagreed and thought you had some type of rebuttal. I get you can’t, and that’s clearly disappointing for both of us. How you cope with it is up to you. I’m here to help you work through the flaws in your reasoning any time- that I am guilty of. Retirement!

The fact that we can easily come up with bad years should tell us all we need to know.
You had to go back 84 years to find literally the only other time we have gone winless in conference play in our 113 year history. Steve Prohm was 1 year old when we had our last 20 loss season (before he achieved it twice in a row) 45 years ago. Let's not pretend these are common place in our program history.
