Yeah - I get it. The joke is supposed to be that the NFL endorses/promotes elevator violence. So a woman gets knocked out in an elevator, many feel like the NFL drops the ball and this guy finds a punchline about it in a very serious presser?

Wrong place, wrong time for sure.

The beauty of this (from what I've gathered in the past 10 minutes), is that Stern says that he doesn't get knowledge of these pranks beforehand (he's done them before) and claims he wouldn't approve them if he did. Yet this guy remains employed by Stern. Bit if a pot/kettle situation.

It's called plausible deniability. He doesn't tell him to do pranks but doesn't get rid of him either.

Why? ESPN pays him to tell his opinion and he did. The NFL has ****ed this up from the start and need to take some heat for it.

I'm not a simmons fan but ESPN is a bit of a hypocrite for letting others have a forum to talk about goodell but he isn't allowed too.

I'm just going to go on a limb and say he wasn't suspended for the subject matter or what he said on that subject matter... outside of two words.

F------ B-------

If he truly said the words uncensored, I see why ESPN is suspending him.

In a podcast, though, I think...not live on ESPN. (clear statement of I think because all I know is from that link above).
