Ah yes, that's right. It was the weather, which only affected one team and has no bearing in an endless trend of Campbell teams playing down to lower level competition.
Yes, terrible weather conditions level the playing field. That's blatantly obvious to anyone who's watched football for more than 1-2 years. There's a reason we used to hope for bad weather whenever we played Texas, OU or those good Baylor and TCU and Oklahoma State teams.

Hmm. I remember playing Mack Brown and Texas in Chizik's first year in absolute slop and still losing by 50.

Well, the poster I replied to specifically said September games. Even still, yes, if you want to hang your hat on ONE bad performance in **** conditions, go for it.

I'm not sure why people are so reluctant to admit that Campbell teams have been crappy against FCS competition. There's a really firmly established pattern. You can find excuses for any given instance, but the fact remains that in 5 games against FCS schools, there has been one win 6+ point win.

I would love nothing more than to just blast SEMO and have a nice comfy W, but we have a large enough sample size at this point to conclude there's no real reason to expect it.

Not exactly sure.

How many teams were those 6 games against?

My nephew played with Paxton at Camdenton, kid can sling it. They run a 5 wide offense about 75% of the time so his HS stats were insane. Good athlete, can run. Always had a tendency to hold the ball to long trying to make plays but that was high school and I would assume that has been coached out of him. Also missed some throws high when pressured. Like all of our week one games, I expect this to be closer than we hope.

I see this game being a lot more like LA Monroe than a UNI. It likely won’t be perfect or look pretty the entire time but I’d be shocked to win by less than 3 TDs.

Y'all are VASTLY overestimating SEMO. They're a 4-7 team from the worst scholarship league in the FCS. This isn't UNI or the Dakotas or any Valley team for that matter.

Comparisons to Drake are also pretty ridiculous. It's not going to be an ice storm where no one wants to be there other than the kids in white jerseys.

This is a 45-7 type game that may not even feel that close.
