Honestly I have seen some weird super bowl, or this is "obviously the biggest game in ISU history" stuff this week... which is really weird considering we played in the Big 12 championship game and the Fiesta Bowl in 2 of our last 3 games, which are both clearly bigger games.

hawkeye fans assume the hawkeyes are the center of everyone's universe. For real. There is a part of that fanbase that has the awareness of a teenager.

Oh this is so true. 2011 always stands out for me because we beat both Iowa and #2 Okie State. My Hawk acquaintances were more upset we beat OSU than beating their Hawks. All of a sudden they didn't feel relevant anymore. They weren't "THE" game for ISU. We just beat #2........who the F is Iowa. They didn't like that. And to this day I don't think anything has changed.

They were literally the two biggest games in ISU football history just 8 and 9 months ago...preceded by wins over Oklahoma 10 months ago and 2 years prior.

ISU played 3 games last season that were easily bigger than the biggest CyHawk game of all time. Given what was on the line the Texas win was probably also bigger than any CyHawk game of all time...in a year the Iowa game got cancelled.

Bigger games to follow. Conference games are more important.
And the team will get better, this year and next.

What is he a sophomore/junior? I doubt he has yet to play in a game of any consequence in the Big Ten so yeah.......he's going to run his mouth.

Penn State and Wisconsin are probably their 2 toughest games in conference! We’ll be the toughest defense they face all season!
