Nice anecdote, but far from factual. If you thought someone said Jacobson never gets beat, you may have something. But that’s not the contention. Another error in your narrative is despite what you think you recall, our defense with Jacobson has been some of the best in years sans the Drake and Iowa games. That was in large part due to how Jacobson plays ball screens.Yes he is, I've been watching him on D numerous times this year to try to figure out why we are getting beat so bad inside and on Defensive rebounding. He's a stud on offense no doubt, and hes obviously a leader out there, but plays defense much smaller than he actually is. We need Solomon and Lard in there as they are the best defenders by far. Those 3 should split the front-court minutes as they are all 3 completely different players.
Lard’s only played 31 minutes. In that small sample he’s made more mistakes than Jacobson has in several games combined. Also more fouls. Right now he’s often the hockey assist in the failure of our defense and rebounding.
