174 and 165 aren’t settled yet. MJ will contend for either spot I’m guessing
You could be right, but I’m willing to bet Riggins and Naak both get a lot better this year after adjusting back down to 174. They both just need mat time and they will get the wheels turning again on offense. I was happy with 149, 165, 184, 197 and hwt. Those guys got after itIm actually pretty pleased tonight despite the loss. 3/4 of our wins were ranked wins. Eutons loss was nothing to be ashamed of. Let it get away from him in the end but was right there and looks like a great option at 165. Grice, Redding, Kane are likely 3rd string guys who it’s hard to expect a ton out of at this point. Riggins maybe the only match I found truly disappointing. 174 going to be an issue, team may be better with euton/gaitan manning 165/174.
And one that doesn’t have gray in the middle of the mat. Who decided that was a good idea
I think this is probably more concerning than any match result tonight. I have been worried about the amount of weight we're cutting as a team.Weight not injury
Agreed chasing that team trophy for the second year in a row comes at the expense of 125-141, 165, 184, and 197 all coming down in weight. 6/10 weights are dealing with big time cuts not including riggins and naak who are both technically coming down in weight as wellI think this is probably more concerning than any match result tonight. I have been worried about the amount of weight we're cutting as a team.
I actually don’t think it’s bad here.Two words:

Now they don’t pay parking lot staff for events that won’t run out of parking slots. Save $ is my guessHas anyone explained the "why" behind this? I'm pretty annoyed by this but I'm willing to listen to a reasonable explaination.
Was told bad weight cut he made it barely but body was shutting dow
Carroll is a career 197. Too short for heavyWhat’s the HWT future? With Carroll and Herrera, that is pretty stout and don’t think Carroll can do more than 1 at 197
Stanford countered our attacks very well and credit to them. I think it is expected with Grice (small 133), Naak (true freshman wrestling a really good funky wrestler), and Euton (Garvin AA last year). All 3 are backups out in a tough spot against quality guys. Biggest disappointment is Redding- absolutely cannot get pinned there as a senior even if the kid is a true freshman phenom. Also a bit disappointed in Riggins as he was in deep multiple times, but he will get better and keep improving. Match provided good experience for those younger guys on what to expect and what they need to train on moving forwardI’m definitely a novice but what I saw all night was Stanford countering our shots all night and destroying us in the scramble. I understand we didn’t have our best but would like someone in the know to explain. Were those poor shots or just superior counter moves? It looked like Stanford had a game plan and executed it well. Was this out of character for them or something we didn’t prepare for?
