Money is the only reason for the move which is completely understandable. What will be interesting though is how those corner season ticket holders will be moved.
Probably gonna have to start donating if they want to continue getting season tickets.

Putting the visiting team in 41 is really ******* dumb. Why the hell would you give them that spot. That’s exactly where they would want to be. Put them up in the back half of N. They can scalp their way if they want better seats.

Means they'll have to find a new location for the Hawkeye marching band to sit. Hmmm....I can think of a few options.
the HMB and the ISUCF'V'MB will be within striking distance of each other now.....meanwhile our band gets shoved into the Galaxy in Kinnick

I don't really like the visitors section in 41 right next to the hill. I feel like that might cause issues in the future with kids running around on them, but it's also probably the best spot for them.
Most games that portion of the visitors allocation is for the band...

Not exactly sure.

That will probably be the opposing teams band. They sat in the one corner where the students will be now

Agreed 41 is odd to me as well.

We sit in section 1 and love it because my smaller kids can go play on the hillsides (less so with larger crowds).

Did he really say in 2022? Because we have already renewed our 2022 tickets in one of those sections.

This happened to us when Iowa State flipped sides a few years back. You will have first crack at selecting seats but it will be based off priority.

Section X and 37 opening up will free up some pretty awesome seats. This is a pretty good deal for almost all donor levels from Gold level down. And the letter says it opens 5% more seats for students, which is also a decent amount. This seems good for many reasons.

I just bought season tickets (not renewed) and was hoping to sit there. I wonder where I may get placed, if I can even get seats

Unfortunately, moving the student section will require several football season ticket holders to be relocated in Jack Trice Stadium. Although we regret having to relocate season ticket holders, we have multiple options to offer those individuals at the same price points for 2022.

In the near future, our athletics ticket office will be contacting those season ticket holders who will be relocated with additional information regarding their individual reseating options

It still seems odd to be making this decision this late in the game.

As a longtime donor with really low row seats in section R, I better be getting equivalent seats in section K. Or they need to reopen both corners to claiming seats based on priority points

Honestly you might not have much room to negotiate that.

Good luck though, that sucks.
