Did you see the play?
He stepped back on him once, the puts his full body weight on his other foot on top of Rodgers' calf. He could have broken the guys leg.

I understand if it being an accident if it was just once, but he knew he stepped on something the first time them stepped back and put all his weight on his foot the second time. He knew what he was doing.

I know stuff happens in games. Eye gouges, sucker punches, all that. But you can't pull that crap and not expect to get a big punishment, especially with his history. It's not like it was at the bottom of a pile either. Out in the open where everyone and every camera could see it.

It looked pretty intentional to me. On the second step it looked like he was kind of grinding it in and took his other foot off the ground to maximize the weight.

I didn't think it was a big deal at the time and still don't. If Rogers wouldn't have thrown his little fit after it happened it would be a non story.

Suh hit a parked car in Lincoln after midnight…TWICE…and in both cases somehow there was no alcohol involved. When you treat players and teams like gods you end up with scum like Suh and the horror at Penn State.

Look at the guy's history. Only a moron is going to think it's not intentional when it's him. He's the dirtiest player of the current era.

You can take the A-hole out of Lincoln, but you can't,,,, well, I can't think of a good way to phrase it, but you know what I mean.

Much less upset about Suh being suspended than I was about the absolute taint-licking the NFL gave Rodgers and the Packers yesterday. Rodgers' *** was on the ground at the 1 and it's still a touchdown? The Lions unquestionably convert that 2-pt conversion and it gets overturned? I'm not saying the Lions didn't kill themselves by giving up the punt return, Stafford costing his team a safety, and fumbling the ball immediately after blocking a field goal, but could it be any more obvious the Lions were playing the Packers AND the NFL offices yesterday?

Or if Suh didn't have multiple incidents of trying to injure guys, what's funny is guys who fail a drug test get 4 games, assaulting someone (illegal on the street) gets you one game. Any other player I could see some sympathy for but not Suh, he's lucky this is all he's getting.

Well he has been fined for doing stuff to 5 other qb's so the theory that its Rodgers is wrong. Its his reputation. If it was a different defensive player he would have been given the benefit of the doubt. He is so dirty though he should be suspended for a year at some point.

Talk to any ex-cyclone football player from the Big8/12 era with Nebraska. Their cheating and dirty tricks are institutional. The seniors teach the freshmen. F&^% Suh....he has made his bed.

yep...this. I'll own being a Lions fan...but I expected to lose on sunday. I just didn't expect to be playing against the stripes too. The NFL clearly has an agenda. Would not surprise me to see an officiating scandal in the future. Not because of this particular game, obviously, but because they need the "good guys" to take over their image.

agree with this. big fine, no suspension.

Disagree. You need to send a message to idiots like this. Fines obviously aren't working as they just roll their eyes at them. Make him miss a game, especially a playoff game, and it will hurt them more. It will be killing him Sunday to not be out there with his teammates fighting for their season...maybe that will get it through his head

I completely disagree that if Suh had done this to a QB other than Rodgers, Brady, or Manning that he wouldn't have been suspended..... he definitely would have no matter what QB it was. He's done stuff to other QB's in this league and has been suspended already.... so there's already been precedent for it.

Don't be upset with how Rodgers acted in this. ALL NFL QB's are being protected by the refs now to ridiculous levels. The only reason the Lions even had a prayer at winning yesterday was because late in the game on a 3rd down stop by GB, the LB for GB Jones I believe, brushed Stafford's helmet after he threw the ball. 15 yds, automatic 1st down and the Lions score a TD on the very next play. That penalty was worth 7 pts directly for the Lions.

All QB's are being protected, not just Rodgers. That is a joke. And Suh is a thug, plain and simple. So is Raiola. When Suh initially steps on Rodgers accidentally, any normal human being would immediately pick up their foot once they knew they stepped on someone. Not Suh. He takes another step onto Rodgers' ankle/calf and then lifts up his other leg so that all of his 300 lb weight is on Aaron's leg. Rodgers is lucky it didn't break his ankle.

And yes, I will admit I'm a Packers fan and a fan of Rodgers, but anyone taking Suh's side in this over Rodgers is just an idiot. Show me a list of all the dirty things Aaron Rodgers has done in this league compared to Suh, and then tell me who should be to blame here.

And to show I can be somewhat non partisan, let me say this about Rodgers yesterday.... I didn't care at all for his injury "act". He lays on the field for a while like someone shot him in the leg, and then needs helped to his feet and helped off the field. Seconds later he's walking fine on the sidelines. Then they put him in a cart and take him to the locker room.

Then, after the half, he milked it even further IMO. He doesn't come out with the rest of the team and Flynn has to come out for the 1st series. While GB is going 3 and out, they show Rodgers standing in the tunnel stretching, and then he makes his glorious appearance immediately after the 3rd down play is over. C'mon Aaron, give me a break. You would have been just fine coming out after the half with the rest of the team. You purposely made this grand entrance to "save the day" and be the "hero". That was obvious.

I love Aaron Rodgers, and think he's the best QB in the league, and possibly ever, but he milked that "injury" for everything he could yesterday IMO. I understand he had a bad calf coming in to the game, but I don't think he injured it again that badly yesterday. He tweeked it, and then acted like it was terrible so he could come back and save the day. So yes, I can be somewhat fair about what I see when I see it.

I'll give you the reversal of the 2 pt conversion. It was close, but since they called it good on the field, it should have stayed that way. That is why Rodgers' TD stood as well. There was no way you could tell if he had made it or not, so the call on the field had to stand. And no, he wasn't stopped on the 1. And no, his knee never hit either, so that wasn't the case either. I admit it was really close, but you couldn't see where the ball was.

So the only call I thought they possibly got wrong was the 2 pt conversion. Let's not forget though, that GB had stopped Detroit on 3rd down and the ref throws the flag because Jones' hand brushed Stafford's helmet which was an automatic 15 yds and a 1st down. Detroit scored on the next play. That was a TD for the Lions directly as a result of the Lions "getting a call".

even as a Lions fan, I was a fan of Rodgers until yesterday. Never cheer for him again. Has nothing to do with the Suh incident...he had every right to be ****** that Suh stepped on him. Was disappointed in how he milked that whole thing. And FWIW, I've never been a Suh fan...and he's on my friggin team.

You would absolutely LOVE Aaron Rodgers if he were on your team and you know it. Just admit it.

I'm a lifelong Packers fan, and I always freely admit that my favorite NFL player of all time to this day is still Walter Payton, who played for probably the team I hate the most, the Bears.

But I know greatness when I see it, no matter what team they play for. And I enjoyed watching Walter Payton play the game more than anyone else, ever. And it's not even that close IMO.

I love Rodgers and would rather have him on my team than anyone else in the league today, hands down. With that being said, he's not the toughest guy around, and he does like to suck up to the crowd, which bothers me at times. He wasn't hurt that bad yesterday. There was no reason whatsoever for him not to come out with the team after the half. None.

But you know you'd love him to death if he were a Detroit Lion.

I wouldn't appreciate that crap, so I can't say that I would. Sweetness was my favorite player as well...and for a ton of reasons, one of which was how humble he was.

Rodgers is a great QB and I've never implied that he wasn't. But I'll never cheer for someone who acts that way. As for who I would pick, I'd rather have Tom Brady than anyone in the league right now. All of that being said, I'd rather have a bunch of QBs than Matt Stafford...the game is too big for him when it's on the line.

that he milked the entire injury thing. Don't be blind to his drama...he left on a cart and then waiting in the tunnel to come out again, finishing the game. F'ing bush league. He's taking his celebrity a bit too far, IMO. You obviously don't agree...I can live with that.

I was a little amazed with the quick recovery as well. For those more in the know, what could the trainers administer in the locker room for this type of injury that would allow him to finish the game?
