I'm pretty sure Iowa State would beat Oregon again this year

I feel like the entire reason they're being propped up is to not entirely alienate the west coast (I guess they did beat Ohio State, but I'm not really sold on Ohio State this year)

I don't think anyone thinks Oregon is a top 4 team this year, but if they go 12-1 with a win over OSU, you can't just ignore them. Game results have to matter at some point. Otherwise this is all a stupid waste of time... it's probably that anyway honestly

That whole Texas program has to be torn down. Everything has to go. It is just so toxic. The culture sucks, the work ethic sucks, everything sucks. I am not sure how you fix it other than hire a no name coach that will work his a$$ off, give him 10 years, and tell him to build it and never talk to a booster.

The SEC is not going to help, it will be WORSE. They are just like everyone else in the SEC. I really have no idea how you fix it. But it is not a short term thing.

Maybe go hire Todd Dodge at Westlake High School in Austin, and tell him to have at it.

Here you go.
NSFW and
I'm just a little worried about this guys health and safety.

Anyway, Eat Arby's. Hook'em...

This is beautiful. It illustrates how f'ng entitled their fanbase is (f-them). And the fact that it's happening on the heals of them announcing leaving to the SEC is fantastic. I laughed when he said that the Cyclones aren't playing well in the game as we beat the shi++y orange paint off of them. FUT

Honestly if the team's name wasn't "Texas" no one would care. Utter mediocrity.

I haven't been so happy to see a team leave the Big 12 since Nebraska. I think I'm going to enjoy watching Texas lose in the SEC almost as much, if not more, as Nebraska losing in the weak Big10 West year after year for last decade.

The ACC doesn't need Clemson to win, they need Miami, Florida St, and Va Tech to pull their heads out of their a$$es. Clemson alone doesn't lift the ACC, they need some serious help.
Florida State, Miami, and VT have lost their appeal. Once Beamer left, VT completely lost its name. Miami can’t get a coach that wins, and Florida State is becoming the next Nebraska. Programs like Florida State can continue throwing money into their program until they get the right guy, but that takes time until you find the right guy (see Texas for an example of what’s happening to them). VT doesn’t have the athletic budget of FSU, and neither does Miami. Clemson has to continue to be the team that carries the conference. Next year Clemson will be back as a top ten team.

In a lot of ways its ashamed that the NIL has happened. It will allow a lot of those teams who "used to" have success to begin paying players to come and play for them. We were beginning to see a bit of shift in the top tier teams, but with the advent of NIL we'll simply see teams raiding the star players from other teams.

FSU and to a lesser extent Miami just need the right coach to get back to premier. Tons of talent down there and both have "brand" going for them. If Dabo flipped to FSU tomorrow, they'd be great in a year or two, and Clemson would probably stumble back to just OK.

VT is more rural and no brand and probably hosed. Think KSU post Snyder.

Nebby is the meth head who burned his own house down because it was so awesome.

Why was the original thread title edited like that? Mods need to stop doing that bs.
I don't remember what the original thread title was now. I think if mods edit a title they should probably keep the original title In parenthesis in smaller font.

If the Big 12 is a movie, Texas is the hot chick that sucks as an actor, but does nude scenes so people watch. OU is a star actor. We are replacing them with a solid group of actors to make for a good ensemble driven movie.
OU and their fans will soon find themselves wondering WTF they were thinking going to be SEC when they lose 3 games a year and the only CFP championship they'll sniff is a leftover Bama jock strap left in the visitors locker room in Norman.
Texas will eventually right their ship because they've got more money than God.
The Aggies will be back to playing second fiddle in the state.
Hide and watch.

The rest of us will just have to fight on, but at least it will be more competitive for the championship now that ou is gone.
But one thing will never change and that's OU SUCKS!

Curious what "righting their ship" looks like for Texas. You thinking consistently better than OU?
