If they don't want to have quarterbacks getting hit, I think they should implement it a new rule that the quarterback has to wear flags and all you have to do is pull the flag and they're down. The ultimate protection for quarterbacks :)

After this season I 100% think qbs should have flags and not be allowed to run for progress.

These calls where you’re not allowed to touch the ground on a tackle but only called against one team are the worst I’ve seen in all my time as a fan. At least I get the intention behind targeting.

I'm just tired of the constant ribbing on the refs everytime we lose. According to some here, we'd be undefeated forever if wasn't for those darn refs. It's tiresome and it the complaining makes us look likw sore losers. The incessant complaining about the refs I feel is a smoke screen for real issues people have with the football team.. It really needs to stop. I'm going to get roasted for this thought, but yeah.....

I think the Baylor game first half was so bad the actual outcome of the game is 100% in doubt. ISU outplayed them for three quarters and Baylor got spotted 14 points Baylor didn’t earn. Their own talking heads all said this after the game.

Some on here are so insecure they transform that in their damaged mind into “refs are only reason we ever lose”. The next worst officiated game was Iowa, a game we won, and I think they blew some calls that helped us too. The KSU game, a loss, was well officiated, I’d kill to get that level of competency consistently.

I think that today's bad call absolutely was a factor in the outcome. It doesn't mean that if we would have made less mistakes, it may not have mattered. But IT did matter.

If it’s random bad officiating then there would be a list of “bad calls” benefiting ISU every bit as long as the list of calls that we’ve been screwed on. It doesn’t exist.
Can anyone even name one game where the refs screwed someone else for us? Only ones I can think of are the 2 Oklahoma State complaints which were actually the right calls

I can live with it because it was a close judgement call.

First half of Baylor they decided only one team was allowed to play defense and none of the bad calls were tough judgements or rational. Directly handed 14 pts to the team that was getting outplayed otherwise.

I don’t ask for or expect perfection. I won’t be quiet when there are two sets of rules and the calls aren’t even close to making sense.

People always bring up desperation heave we got off against Creighton just after time ran out, as if that compares to any of the ridiculously stupid blown calls against KU alone.

I assume you are stirring the pot so I don’t know why I’m responding. Multiple flag pickups against Kansas state in what most thought was Snyder’s last game. Texas fumble recovered by ISU to seal a victory, over turned by an inexplicably corrupt video review. If you want more there is a list of calls so bad that the league actually apologized to ISU, look those up.
He means in Iowa State’s favor

Why is it so difficult for some ISU fans to admit that Big 12 officiating is absolutely corrupt garbage?

No review takes 10 seconds. It was clear. It was close to being a tossup but ball was coming out right before knee touched.

1-8 in last 9 games decided by a single score or less. Do better Matt.

This could be looked at another way. Instead of having 9 close games in which 8 were lost, those could have been blowout loses.

That's 1000000% targeting. No idea if officials had that view or not.

All we know is that they chose not to review it.

I was kind of neutral on this call thinking the targeting and the fumble were close. With this view the targeting is not close at all. If targeting has ever been called once, this is targeting. The fumble probably has to be whatever call on field was.

He led with the crown of his helmet, that’s targeting.

A lot of the "that's not targeting" folks on here exposed with their bias to always agree with refs on everything. That's 100% no doubt targeting. Leading with helmet, primary contact is helmet to helmet, defenseless runner...it checks every box.

If they really didn't even review this, that's very crooked. We better not get another targeting call on us the rest of the season after the **** we've dealt with this year. While we're at it we need at least 3-4 "tackling into the ground penalties" to even out that bull****.
