Jamie must not want to go to the ACC or maybe views the long term security as better in the Big XII. Pitt won the CBI...played pretty well early on but sucked toward the end.....sort of like us. :swoon: Jamie is not a bad coach and is a pretty good recruiter. Maybe he likes the challenge of program building also.

What will we do when this thread is dead??? (I'm sure there's posts somewheres back around 15k... TLDNR!) I did, at one time, read this thing obsessively, and am just glad we made it out alive. This time, anyway. Maybe the thread will never die, just hibernate for a month or two?

I still find the realignment issue interesting...and frustrating as well. One of those things that will evolve over a long period of time and yet I want to know how it is going to turn out right now!!!

We still have 11 and 12 to the the Big12 to post about. Then the resulting moves from those moves, possibly 13, 14, 15, 16 to Big12 as well.

Realignment will not die for a while I think.

Greg Swaim is the only guy out there saying anything about realignment right now.

Not saying it won't happen, I'm just saying that there is very little in the way of credible discussion about it right now.

But it brings the Megathread closer to 20000 posts!

The FSU boards are taking about it quite a bit.

I really think the ACC gets raided, ACC reloads with what's left of the original Big East, the new Big Eat schools wise up and realize they are better off staying where they are now, and the Big East drops football.

I have to agree with this..

I do not see the Big East ever recovering from what has happened to them the last 2 years.

with our new TV contract and its incentives, I see this as the most likely scenario.

The BigXII and Iowa State will become the ACC overlords.
