I'm in the minority here, but, if we go to 16, I'd like to see BYU as one of them, provided they come with no conditions, which I think they would at that point. That would totally box out the PAC, and give us a recruiting presence in the west.

Media is dumbfounded at what is happened. 90% of the media and world assumed and wanted the Big 12 to go away. It is VERY hard for them to accept that is not happening. In fact, many hang to the idea that Texas/OU would still leave at the drop of a hat if Pac allowed LHN. Even with GOR and additions like FSU/Clemson.

Did anyone read Chad Scott's article yesterday?? You will be stupider if you do. Basically his original position was he would more or less eat his own feces before FSU, Clemson or anyone left the ACC for the Big 12. Now that he sees the writing on the wall he writes an article about "where did I go wrong not seeing this move". His conclusion is that you can't account for stupid which is pretty much what he writes and accuses FSU and Clemson of being. Just REFUSES to accept the Big 12 is a stronger conference than the ACC.

I am quite positive Jon Miller and Matt Parrault are crying into their pillows at night.

Despite their lack of success for some time....they are the golden goose.

I have heard reports of 25 to30 million per team in conference with ND as a full member down the line....including the name brands we already have.

It seems to me that the other conferences might want to observe a 14 team SEC for awhile to get a sense of the challenges that come with a league that size.

The conferences will have as many teams as the TV networks want them to.

Even with the lack of success for ND, I'd guess they would still be the second highest draw financially to any conference, just behind Texas.

Having those two in the same conference with Oklahoma and FSU would be a cashcow.

Chip brown keeps saying that a source from the sec says that 14 is a mess and to stick at 12.

I suspect that Chip is still DeLosses man and DeLoss wants ND to join. Sol Chip will spout what DeLoss wants and he apparently needs the 13th spot io go slower so ND can get out of the NBC contract in 2016. If momentum builds to go to 14 now, ND may be too slow.

At least $2-3M more a year per team as they would be a #13 candidate as FSU/Clemson will be announced in next few weeks.

Is this Dude of WV legit? The first I've heard of him (or at least paid attention to him) is yesterday. Seems pretty confident about what he's saying.

He's been calling FSU and Clemson to the Big 12 for months. I think he has better connections than Swaim.

In all honesty, I try to look at all those guys and find the common themes. Those seem to be the most accurate.

The Dude is the most legit source out there. Anything he says has come true since I've followed this 2012 realignment story. There are a few pod casts that he makes an appearance on and it's clear he knows what he's talking about.
