If and when the Big 12 expands back to twelve teams, Texas and Oklahoma will not, I say again, will not be in separate divisions; the "Red River Shootout", or whatever it's called now is the biggest TV revenue game for the conference. Our Big 8 nostalgia is just that, nostalgia, and won't play any factor in any final divisional lineups. A poster earlier in this thread graded each team's competitiveness within the conference and divided the teams into divisions of nearly equal scores; I prefer this method of division makeup, old Big 8 rivalries notwithstanding. This probably means ISU and KU in different divisions as having the smallest competitive scores in the Big 12. If the teams are divided up in this way, then perhaps protected rivalries will come into play. If expansion occurs, it'll be interesting to see how the divisions will fall out.
Edit: BTW, my nominations for division names -- the Royal Division and the Wilkinson Division. Better than Leaders and Legends by any stretch.
