What I'm saying is he coached one hell of a game, I just disagree with his philosophy at the end of three-point games. That doesn't mean people that disagree are stupid or don't watch basketball. This, especially given the situation. They have in Withey and Young, who is also very bouncy and good on the glass. We have Ejim and Clyburn on the floor, and have Percy and Booker (both of who have played very little in the second half). With only a few seconds left in Phog Allen you are going to get away with about anything over-the-back. I think the chances of a missed free-throw kick out for an open three as just as good as possibility as McClemore banking in a three.

However, why McClemore even got a touch is a different story...

I do agree with what many have said. No chance we are even in this game without Fred. Great game plan stretching Withey out and a great job getting his teams attention after a lackluster win against Yale.

At a minimum, the findings indicate that their is a similar chance of winning using either strategy. It's not the "if we foul we win the game" conclusion many have stated on here. Too many factors that you can't account for in a study, like, say, the other team having a 7 footer on the floor to rebound a missed foul shot, the fact that your playing in one of the hardest arenas to get a call, etc.

Listen, bub, you're the one audaciously claiming that teams who foul neeever end up losing the game. As a reminder:

I've never seen one instance where the team up three and fouls loses.

So I did what most 1st graders can do these days and Googled it for you, and found this: Of the 52 teams that committed a foul, six lost the game. Also, I never said one way was right or wrong; all I wanted twas show you clowns who baselessly think that fouling is the better strategy that you're, well, clowns.

ISU gave it everything they had tonight, Hoiberg had a great game plan. KU just got lucky, sometimes thats just the way it goes. Hopefully we bounce right back and take care of business against Texas this weekend. Play like we did tonight and we win a lot of conference games and go dancing!
