Something more appealing to 16-22 year old dudes would have been a smarter choice here.
I'm 64 years old and while I liked this song in it's day, it's dated. I'll be disappointed, but in the big scheme of things it really doesn't matter much. I'll cheer and get excited and might even play it at my tailgate just because that's what I do.

Solid meh from me. They've got some crazy talented media folks on staff so I'll reserve judgement til I see it Saturday.

Honestly all I hope is they knock off the tunnel walk. Thunder Struck with video highlights cuts to weather alert, team enters the field

they pick a super whitebread, predictable song for the entrance.

In other words, the prevailing demographic of the fan base.

One could argue that the entrance video and music are for the fans, and not the players. The team doesn't see the video, and they get a minute (or less) of the accompanying music as they make their way under the hill and down the ramp, at which point the band takes over with the fight song.

So has anyone pointed out a major conference school that uses this? I've wanted it for years due to the weather theme.

I like it as long as we dress it up a bit. Throw the sirens in there, maybe have something else fade in and out. But definitely sirens.

It's fine. Stadium rock is a safe play but it gets everyone into it. I'm more interested in what happens after kickoff anyway.

Never heard of it. Just listened to it in YouTube.
Not sure I ever want to hear that again, but I guess I'll hear it Saturday night.

Very unoriginal. How about pick a song from the players lifetime.

Why? I just don't get this. What's going to get the players more fired up: a raucous crowd or a non raucous crowd but they get to listen to a song they like for 1 minute? Thunderstruck is a song that will appeal to a larger portion of the audience and and has a slow build with a malicious/unsettling tone AND it ties to our program perfectly. The only gripe anybody seems they can come up with is that the song is old. Who cares. Play a song from prehistoric times if it works.
