I'm 64 years old and while I liked this song in it's day, it's dated. I'll be disappointed, but in the big scheme of things it really doesn't matter much. I'll cheer and get excited and might even play it at my tailgate just because that's what I do.Something more appealing to 16-22 year old dudes would have been a smarter choice here.
According to Wikipedia, Florida, Alabama, Marshall, NDSU, and Virginia. So has anyone pointed out a major conference school that uses this? I've wanted it for years due to the weather theme.
they pick a super whitebread, predictable song for the entrance.

Very unoriginal. How about pick a song from the players lifetime.
Not sure if serious?Never heard of it. Just listened to it in YouTube.
Not sure I ever want to hear that again, but I guess I'll hear it Saturday night.

Why? I just don't get this. What's going to get the players more fired up: a raucous crowd or a non raucous crowd but they get to listen to a song they like for 1 minute? Thunderstruck is a song that will appeal to a larger portion of the audience and and has a slow build with a malicious/unsettling tone AND it ties to our program perfectly. The only gripe anybody seems they can come up with is that the song is old. Who cares. Play a song from prehistoric times if it works.

I can't believe this is true.
