Goof for Nader, he certainly has some game, but he has to be doing other things right for teams to see him as worth keeping around/guaranteeing his contract. The point made by one of their writers about OKC moving more to the fluid, position-less basketball is a good direction to be taking for Abdels potential.

Looks like OKC has learned that positionless basketball can only work if your players are athletic enough and skilled enough. A bunch of tall stiffs who can’t move their feet nor handle the ball off the bounce or shoot sets you up for an epic fail.

Physically and athletically, Burton bears some resemblance to Westbrook.

Thunder will be a very interesting team to watch next year regardless of if Burton and Nader are playing. Schroeder is a fun player when he’s right. Plus, Nerlens Noel is a interesting reclamation project and is a big that can switch on to a lot of guards. Their defense could be very very tough if Roberson comes back strong.

Boy do I have some stories for you about some practice competition Nerlens had back in the day...

Nice article on Nader in the Chicago Tribune (Skokie section). Here's a quick blurb:

Because Nader was on the Thunder’s roster as of Aug. 1, his salary became fully guaranteed for the upcoming season, when he will have a chance to play with Russell Westbrook and Paul George.

“When (the trade) happened, I was a little bummed,” Nader said. “But I flew down instantly to OKC, met with the GM (Sam Presti) and with the coaching staff. Everybody is on the same page, and they welcomed me with open arms, made it seem like they wanted me. It felt good that the organization was putting their trust in me.”

I'm happy for this guy. Also, I'm happy that he's being careful with his money.

Nader on TV right now being interviewed at the Royals game. He threw out the first pitch. Lots of love for Iowa State fans from both Nader and the Goldberg on the Royals broadcast. Shout out to Hilton South!
His pitch was pathetic. He’s clearly never thrown a baseball before either but it was great seeing him and Joel Goldberg giving a big shoutout to ISU fans and Cyclone nation.
