before mcdermott got here, we used to win pretty regularly in the hilton.
before mcdermott got here, uni had won in the hilton, maybe two times, ever. EVER.

so you think uni is a rival of ours?
do they have a 14,000 seat arena?
do they play in a BCS conference?
do they have one kid that was recruited by ISU and UNi and chose UNi?
is there one kid that would ever choose UNi over ISU?
this is a team that we should destroy, year in and year out.
and we did, before greg mcdermott got here.
uni is not a rival of iowa state.

When was the last time we won all intra-state games?

There is something rotten in the state of ISU basketball.

This loss by itself wouldn't mean much, but couple it with the NW loss...

I think UNI is the favorite to win their conference. They probably aren't great, but they have pretty much their whole team from last year, which went to the NCAA tournament. Just given that they're all back and have played together probably helps a lot.

Considering they are a decent team and this was an in-state rivalry game, it's not that surprising to me that they pulled off the win.

Experience didn't win this game. Koch, or whoever was guarding Brackins, pushed him 20 feet from the basket every time he tried to post up. Unacceptable from a guy that is expected to play at the next level. Koch and Eglseder completed dominated the Iowa State big men.

Good teams shouldn't lose games like this at home. It isn't like UNI shot lights out. They outhustled, outrebounded, outcoached the Clones and appeared to want it a LOT more.

It is still UNI they could not touch us with a 20ft pole on a regular basis before Greg came

Can someone do an analysis of this please. There are alot of folks spouting off about the greatness of Cyclone basketball the years before Greg. While we have had much better seasons, we have lost some really ****** head scratchers.

We should have won this game fair and square. We played like **** for 75% of the game and still almost won. UNI might be good, but we *should* have won this game.

Either everyone on the team has the sickness i do OR there is something weird going on that's been going on since a certain someone has arrived in ames.

Since the exhibition games, our rebounding (read: opponents Offensive boards) has troubled me.

Well who is going to rebound when everyone is out toward the 3 point line. We need those posts to post the hell up.

1. As of late...yes. In both football and basketball.
2. Does it matter when only half of Hilton is full?
3. There is no BCS in basketball. In football: No. They still beat ISU last time.
4. No. They have a lot of guys from out of state, and guys that ISU passed up on. Looks like maybe ISU shouldnt have passed up on them.
5. Mac's son? Harrison Barnes? Someone looking to win their conference and go to the NCAA tourney?
