There would be so many topics you could cover. I imagine you would have to start with weapons then shelter/fortress. I think food and transportation would have to be next. Also you could also discuss the type of zombies you would encounter. I might be praying for a zombie apocalypse but not the rage zombies in 28 days later. Also I wouldn't want the virus to be able to be carried by animals because I wouldn't want to kill animals and I would still like to be able to eat meat.

Sucky part is the 28 days zombies are more probable than the walking dead ones.

Also, the zombies develop the undying thirst for flesh and resistance to pain along with complete stupidity. Probably would not be that stupid they are still human. Something like Legend had is more believable.

I Am Legend "zombies" would be freaking scary. The only zombies I wanna deal with are the ones in The Walking Dead. Rage zombies like in 28 Days Later would kinda suck too.

If that is the case I think I need to start working on my cardio or an alternate means of transportation.

I didn't figure these zombies into the equation. I feel like I am already 3 months behind in my preparations.

I've got my shopping list almost done. I figure we'll have about 2-4 weeks from the initial reports of zombies, to cash and credit cards being worthless. I think the first herd of zombies could hit my super secret farm in the middle of nowhere around 4-6 weeks after patient zero is infected.

It depends. If you consider that you have 90%+ chance of being ****ed anyways, you have to say 'if i survived the initial chaos, which would i rather have out there'.

I think i'd have to go with the 28 days later type. Because yes, while theyre faster, they still appear to be affected by most of the normal limits of the human body so they'll still eventually die of starvation. By this point in TWD, a few months in if the '28 days later' rules applied, most of the zombies would be dead from lack of food, and you'd just have to keep watch for the last few, likely also pretty worn out, zombies.

I would be interest to hear more about this. I don't need to know the location but maybe some of the defense systems.

I feel that if the CF community is aware that Iowans in general with have an easier time because I see the average Iowan having a much higher than kill to death ratio.

So you're saying you wouldn't want TWD zombies because they'd die off by themselves?

I wouldnt want TWD zombies because TWD zombies dont die off by themselves. 28 days later zombies do die off by themselves.

It would be interesting if, as time went forward, they went with the "dormant zombies" where as the zombies ran out of easily obtainable food, they just kind of shut down where they were, but were easily awakened by noise or movement nearby.

You wouldn't have the random hordes - but you might go into a town to scavenge and end up "waking up" a hold bunch of them.

Aren't the I Am Legend Zombies actually vampires, which of course explains their Lebron James like freakish athleticism..

But eventually the flesh should rot to the point where the their limbs wouldn't work any more right?

I think they do. Remember the crawling zombie that Rick killed after he rode the bike in season 1? She had over half of her body gone and was croaking out there.

The Walking Dead - Webisodes 6 The Walking Dead: Everything Dies – AMC

I recommend watching the whole series if you guys haven't seen it. I watched it last year and enjoyed it.

Thats exactly what i'm talking about. They dont die off by themselves no matter how decayed they are. I havent watched the webisodes yet, but from what i understand she was in the state she was in because she had been eaten first by walkers. She was slowed because she was missing most of her body, but even then was still going.

When you think about it there should be a lot more zombies like her, mostly gone after having most of their flesh removed by the walkers.

I guess I'll go along with you. I can't say for sure that they'd never die off. We'd have a lot less to worry about if a lot of zombies ended up like that zombie.

And yes, she got mauled by zombies before that point.
