Voted "Hell, no" even though I don't live in Iowa. Unfortunately there are still plenty of them skulking around Minnesota.

My brother and I will still probably exchange texts with our hawkeye nephew during the game. But he is more a fan of the football than a db hawk fan so it shouldn't be too bad even if ISU loses. His texts last week while he watched the Iowa game and we were tailgating/at the ISU game were priceless. His eyes were bleeding from watching that offensive performance.

About 5 years ago, I watched the game with in laws and their friends in their neighborhood. 26 people were there, my wife and I were the only Cyclone fans. The game was a loss but I felt like I was winning at life at least.

I’m sure we all have hawk fans that you can watch with, and ones you can’t watch with. This is where I sit.
I agree. But those two groups are most definitely not a 50/50 split

I watched it at the local tavern 2 years ago and I walked out thinking the same thing.

I was in high school watching with hawk fans in 2002 (I was the line clone in the group) and they were talking all kinds of smack at halftime. I told them the cyclones looked better in the second half the week prior. They were SILENT after that third quarter. I didn’t even need to say anything, just a wry smile, which seemed to sting even more to them.

The wife, kids and I will be watching at a friends house who are having a party for the game, and I will likely be the only one cheering for Iowa State. It will be fun and most people aren’t die hard who take the game as seriously as some on here/whatever iowas boards called do.

I’ll only watch with my family and close friends who are hawk fans. I’ll never go to another game in kinnick or go watch it at a sports bar.

Last time I watched with a Hok fan was a good life long friend in 2014.

It was like a skit; we just caught up on life while yelling at our respective teams.

'Did your dad get back to the state fair this year--Catch the ****ing ball!'

'Yeah he got there for a couple of days why would you run there!!!?'

Worst part is I move down here (New Mexico), take an engineering job at the national lab, and one of my coworkers is an Iowa grad.

How far do I have to move before I get rid of these people??

Iowa grads tend to be a little more reasonable.

Done it every year I’m not at the game for a very long time. But my friends aren’t dickheads so it’s not a problem.

I get around
I visited my son in Solana Beach CA and in driving past a sports bar I noticed a huge hok banner flying from it. Yuk, can't get away from them.
