It is a "What have you done for us lately" type of sport.

...when JP demands support from the fans in money and attendance...the fans expect something back.

We dont want you and we dont need you is not a stance Iowa State can afford and the sentiment is silly.

That's where you're wrong. The elite programs survive with a tiny, hardy core of people who were happy to watch seasons fall apart. That's where the big money is.

No one likes losing, and you dont have to be ok with it. Losing is terrible. Now thinking you want to win more than the kids and the coach is just stupid. I have not lost faith in my coach or players. Check any source you want but we are in the best place, with the exception to this years wins, that we have ever been.

I'm willing to bet we will go up and down this roller coaster many times as ISU continues to progress so I suggest to enjoy the good times like we have and to not want to fire every one every single time we have a bad year. It will just lead you to another Chizik.

Last time I looked Tom Herman is doing pretty good at OSU and you would all take him back after requesting that he was fired because he was not a "right fit".

This season has been a series of unfortunate events, but to not be mad at the results so far is not logical. I understand about the injuries and where the team is right now. What I can not forgive is the way this team started the year like they really had no desire to win. Against UNI and Iowa the Clones were absolutely punished, looked unprepared, almost clueless at times. That unprepared team is on the coaches, not the players. Everyone acts like the ISU coaches are volunteers for a Pee Wee team. They are highly paid coaches that should be able to put a decent game plan together. Still waiting for that to happen this season.

So I'll end with this if you want to complain about the team.We dont want you and we dont need you.
Uh, who is the "we" that you talk about? I'd bet JP and CPR don't want to be included in your group. Lots of the "complainers" still write checks every year, and I'm sure our AD and HC don't want 'em to stop.

I honestly get more upset with these types of posts than the football games themselves.

If this isn't a narrative fallacy I don't know what is.

When you make blanket statements like this, "we don't need you", to anyone who is critical, you have created a super simplified and incorrect narrative both that all criticism is bad, and that the Big 12 school with some of the least resources doesn't need fans.

For a science and technology school we seem to have a ton of people who are unbelievably technical and analytical in their jobs/studies, yet I come on this message board and I see this type of logical fallacies to fit a simple narrative all the time.

If someone gives detailed reasoning for why they feel a coach, or position should be upgraded, they are not a hater, they are not ungrateful, they are simply working to improve. These are the types of people who are successful in business. Many of the companies who aren't are places where critical thinking is castrated, and feedback is non-existent. The group hive mind sets in, and nothing improves. That is until their competitors do improve and they are left in the dust.

Good Post I have been writing checks for 51 years and if you want the complainers to leave, then just ask Max Urick how he had to fund an athletic dept with 10,000 fans or less sitting in the stands...A full house back in those days were 36,000 announced with 25K or less in the stands.

Go Clones beat the Mildcats.

I'm sorry, but we need ALL fans, positive AND negative. They both bring money in to ISU. You can't say we don't need them.

I bet they do. Just like many business relationships they may not need or want you but they will take you(r money) for the sake of progress.
