BTW, the latest GFS at 96 hours (one of the models) is suggesting 20 inches for Eastern Iowa.

Any of our weather gurus know what the current season total for snowfall is? Curious if its above\below normal, since after last winter even just an above normal winter probably feels like nothing..
So whats the difference between the NAM and GFS models? Which one is more accurate? because NAM says that I'll be getting 12-16 inches, and GFS is between 5 and 9.
As of a week ago slightly above normal in DSM, a little bit more above normal in Waterloo.
