Still -3.5 on FanDuel. Public money will bring it down to -2.5, sharps will probably push it back up to a field goal or so
Yeah WVU is going to be a huge public play. We will be a very popular pick to lose in the CFB media. Fine by me. I get it. But we also prefer to be under the radar and play the underdog role.

Watching the highlights now.

No idea what happens down there or for the season but something this team has done so far that previous ISU teams didn't or couldn't do at times is make the needed play when things are weird.

Whether it's the punt block or big pass, int., whatever, someone steps up and goes and makes it happen.

If I remember right from past years when we've played WV, there's a pod called "3 guys before the game" that does a pre/post game pod for each of their games. I haven't listed to anything this year but I'll check it out later this week. If I have the name right, these guys are pretty smart and give good takes/insight into WV matchups and aren't boners.

might be getting brando again?

We are getting him again for sure. I haven’t watched the game back but apparently he must of been terrible given the comments on here but I’ve never minded him.

God no. That was ESPN+ off-site level commentary and production last week. Don't need it again on another national broadcast.

Brando's spotter made him look bad a few times -- especially on the blocked punt, where he obviously pointed to Baylor #43 instead of ISU #43 on the flip card.

It seems like Fox splitting up Brando/Tillman, and then pairing them up with younger guys, has forced them both to be more "energetic" and over-the-top than they were when together. And there are times that it doesn't come off very well.

I can't remember them all without rewatching, but both Brando and the color commentator sounded like fools several times throughout the broadcast. And the production was ESPN+ quality. I was not impressed for this being the prime time big boy Fox broadcast.

Idk how much to take away from their oSu win honestly.

I was actually there in person at BPS watching them beat South Dakota State in week 1. Bowman looked not great, and I was not impressed with their defense at the time, but they ended up winning comfortably, and I chalked it up to SDSU being a really good team (which they are)

But the rest of their games since.....man. they might be a bottom 3 team in the conference.

Fox is throwing all their resources at their Noon kickoff game each week

Still concerned about our ability to slow down WVU's running game, but man I was just looking at Ok State a little closer and they are straight up BAD against the run. Against P4 opponents this year...

Arkansas - 47 carries, 232 yards, 4.9 ypc
Utah - 52 carries, 249 yards, 4.8 ypc
Kansas State - 34 carries, 300 yards, 8.8 ypc
West Virginia - 65 carries, 389 yards, 6.0 ypc

Average 293 yards and 5.9 ypc. That is flat out embarrasing. Between their performance this year, Gundy running his mouth about NIL, etc. that team might just give up the rest of the year.
