I think that was 2021. It was on ESPN+, and we got the bottom of the barrel refs, camera angles, and a female announcer who was blatantly cheering for WVU. Thanks for bringing that memory back lol
It was Courtney Lyle, and I still to this day say she should never be allowed near a microphone again. I've heard her call a few other games across ESPN and she's AWFUL.

Now I'm full of rage. God I can't stand that woman.

I will never forget how bad she was. Losing her mind anytime WV did something and I kid you not anytime ISU did something she would go “oh goodness” or “good gracious” in a disappointing tone.

The worst broadcast I have ever seen.

I was so pi$$ed that I canceled my ESPN+ subscription right after the game. Horrible, horrible display of unprofessional bias. And she's still announcing games!!

It's weird how many outside people are using the 2021 game as some omen, just because ISU was ranked.

What they fail to acknowledge is that WVU was absolutely gifted two touchdowns -- one where the receiver never touched any body part in the end zone after making the catch, and the other where the ball was snapped (on 4th down) well after the play clock hit 0.

I was at that game, so I was spared the commentating. What I remember from that game is

1) WVU stadium sound was super loud and sometimes went after the ref wound the clock, I thought they should have been penalized for it
2) I believe there was a phantom toe drag by a WVU player. Should have been ruled out of bounds but because there were basically zero good camera angles it was ruled a TD
3) the weather was cold and rainy.

That said WVU fans were actually awesome. I was in line for food and a random WVU fan came up to me and offered to by my beer and pepperoni roll. Talking to him he thought that WVU was making a mistake in not offering Rocco.

Despite the loss and all of the BS, I will remember that game for sure. It was actually kinda cool seeing he whole crowd singing "take me home".

We had seats with a distant relative's friend who was a former assistant AD at WVU. It was pretty cool to get somewhat of a VIP treatment. They are salt-of-the-earth people very similar to our fan base - far better than any other team's fans I've been around.

well said....its going to take about ten years of really good football to undo all the stuff I have seen in the past ;)
as long as we play well, i can handle any loss. I just don't like losing because of 10 penalties, 3 turnovers and 2 blown ref calls. We got the screw job last time we went to morgantown.
I hope we throw the ball all over them. weather should support that effort.

We get past this game then our next 3 out of 4 games are home against UCF, TT and Cincy with KU being in KC. My head starts to expand at that point.

Even with a loss I feel like we have a great shot at 9-1 going into Utah.
would be really good to get that 10 win gorilla off our back for sure.

I do think Tech and Kansas are better than we think. Then Utah/K-state will be the two hardest games.
I think Tech is absolutely better than we THOUGHT. I think Kansas SHOULD be better than they are, they just have big troubles at QB, and there are no signs of them righting the ship up to this point. But man, one game at a time has never been more true than now. It's so hard not to look ahead though.

Not an omen, some of us still just have nightmares of everything about that game.

I don't have any worries here at all. No reason to doubt what Campbell has going on, and they probably haven't met a defense of our caliber yet.

Outside of Penn State, I think that's true. I don't really know what Pitt has in defense... but that game gets thrown out anyway since it's a true rival game (anything can happen).

Penn state is the only defense WVU has seen in the top 75 to this point. Pitt is somewhere in the 90's, and every other opponent WVU has been far worse

How much of a discount is this? I assume this if for the SW corner etc.? I have season tickets so don't have a point of reference for these deals.
The only ones I am seeing for the UCF game @ $40 is in Section Z. Most all others are $85.
